Sharon Tells Powell To Wake Up
August 3…Israeli Prime Minister rebuked the harsh criticism from U.S Secretary of State Colin Powell for Israel’s preemptive strike against Palestinian terrorists. Mr. Sharon reminded Secretary Powell, and the US State Department that if Yasser Arafat had been true to his signature on numerous peace agreements, that these terrorists would already be in prison. Alabama Chief Justice Unveils Ten Commandments in State Supreme Court
Armed with quotations from U.S. history, the "Ten Commandments judge" unveiled a monument to the Commandments in the Alabama Supreme Court building Wednesday morning. Chief Justice Roy Moore presented the monument, which is four feet tall and holds two tablets with the Ten Commandments displayed on them. It weighs 5,280 pounds and is displayed in the Supreme Court rotunda. Engraved on the granite are quotes from America's forefathers supporting the Commandments' basis as the foundation for law. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Barak: Arafat 'missed every opportunity' for peace August 1….Countering the Palestinian leadership's claims that both sides share responsibility for the failure of Camp David last year, former prime minister Ehud Barak remarked once again that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat proved not to possess the foresight and courage of President Anwar Sadat of Egypt or King Hussein of Jordan. Instead, he missed every opportunity presented to him to achieve a permanent peace for his people. ( Note: Arafat has never wanted Peace with Israel. He wants all of Israel. ) Arafat] signed a series of agreements committing him to make peace in 1993. He even received a Nobel Peace Prize to encourage him to live up to his commitments. Arafat only used the process to gain international involvement in dealing with the crisis and doing so through the use of violence. Israel goes after Hamas Leaders who "Planned" terror attacksAugust 1 Jamal Mansour was the senior Hamas commander in the Samaria region, and directly in charge of the headquarters hit in yesterday's attack. He held numerous positions in Hamas, and was known for his extreme views. He constantly encouraged escalating violence against Israel, and was a staunch supporter of suicide bomb attacks. The Direct Missile Hit in Nablus was intended to settles the Tel Aviv Disco score. While Jerusalem tensed for the seventh day running of Palestinian terrorist hits, Israeli helicopters fired missiles through the window of the third floor of a seven-story, straight into a strategy conference of top Hamas leaders. Among the eight killed were Jamil Mansour, the organization’s most ardent advocate of suicide bombings against Israel, and Jamil Salim, a senior officer of the group. US deplores IDF raid on Hamas
August 1…The US condemned Israel in the strongest terms yesterday for its helicopter attack on the Hamas headquarters in Nablus, in which eight persons, including two children passing by, were killed. The State Department described the attack as "excessive," and "reprehensible," "highly provocative," and a type of escalation that will only lead to "disaster." August 1….Syria is looking to mobilize its army in the face of spiraling Mid-east violence.. Assad said the Mid-east region was in "a critical stage which requires full alertness and preparedness." Assad claimed that Syria would retaliate against any Israeli aggression, and assist in the Israeli war against Hamas and the Palestinians. Blob From Space May Hold Secret of LifeScientists believe that they have found evidence of bacteria from outer space on the edge of the Earth’s atmosphere. If confirmed, the discovery will be the strongest evidence yet for a controversial theory called panspermia, which holds that life evolved in space and reached the Earth from comets. Note: ( This is the transplantation theory….teaching that God-beings from outer space planted mankind on the earth ) ( This theory is the basis of space exploration today, reflecting mans attempt to reach his foster-parents )
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1 ( God created man in his image )"
Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat is continuing his attempt to organize an emergency meeting of the Arab League to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Jews from all around the world are looking more and more toward rebuilding the fallen ancient Temple. Having been pacified with praying at the Wailing Wall since acquiring the city of Jerusalem in 1967, they have seen the futility of achieving peace with Yasser Arafat, and thus have increased their resolve to rebuild the house of God. The Cornerstone for the Third Temple
Pressing for international observers in the Middle East, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat met Thursday with Pope John Paul II at the papal summer retreat at Castello Gandalfo. Palestinian President Yasser Arafat (R) is greeted by Pope John Paul II as he arrives in the Pontiff's summer residence at Castelgandolfo, southeast of Rome August 2, 2001. The Pope told Arafat that the Middle East had reached a point of unheard of violence, and said both Arabs and Israelis had to break the cycle of attacks and reprisals. Each called for monitoring. Day of Violence at Jerusalem’s Flashpoint July 29….Tisha Be’Av, the Jewish day of mourning for the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 AD, and the calamities afflicting the nation ever since, was marked out by Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for a confrontation centering on the Temple Mount controversy. Special fliers were distributed calling on the Palestinian and Moslem masses to flock to Temple Mount and foil what was described as an evil ultra-nationalist Israeli plot to lay a cornerstone for Israel’s Third Temple. Israeli police stormed Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque compound on Sunday to confront Palestinians who stoned Jews praying below at the Western Wall. The Temple Mount is the site where the first clashes of the current Palestinian uprising began 10 months ago. The end of the standoff at sundown restored a precarious peace to the highly sensitive site, revered by Jews as the place where two biblical Temples stood. The area now houses two mosques, al-Aqsa and Dome of the Rock. The day of violence erupted after a radical Jewish group, known as the Temple Mount Faithful, raised passions by announcing plans to lay the cornerstone for a Third Temple at the compound. Israel Outgunned on Three SidesA US military research institute recently concluded that Israel remains totally outgunned in the Middle East weapons procurement race. The Middle East is the most heavily armed region in the entire world, and the Arab nations surrounding Israel have used the billions of dollars of oil revenues that they annually receive to upgrade their military capability to strike at Israel. Saudi Arabia is the Arab country with the most modern air force, matching that of Israel. Iran is the next biggest threat to Israel. Russia and China are Iran's main sources for weaponry. Unconventional weapons are the greatest danger in the region, with Iran being able to develop a nuclear bomb in the next five years. Egypt and Syria are also developing long range offensive missiles. Most analysts calculate that under the current weaponry imbalance, that Israel will need to insure that the next outbreak of war in the region will be a short war. Intelligence reports indicate that Israel's nuclear capabilities includes over 400 nuclear warheads, and under a full-scale attack, Israel may well have to use that option, since it is unlikely that she could survive a multi-frontal assault. Arab and Islamic States blast Jewish Temple stone-laying ceremonyJuly 30….The Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) warned that the laying of the "cornerstone" by the ultra-nationalist group, the Temple Mount Faithful, could cause an "explosive situation" in the Middle East. The 57-member OIC condemned it as a "provocation" and "aggression against the Muslim holy sites" and urged the US and Russian sponsors of the region's dormant peace process and the European Union to intervene to stop Israeli actions on the Temple Mount. Note: Yet another "rumor of war". Israel’s yearning for its precious Temple Mount instills fury in the heart of Satan.Israel, Palestinians brace for showdown at Jerusalem Holy Site July 28,2001…. Tens of thousands of Jews from Jerusalem, from all over Israel, and from the Diaspora, will be observing the ancient custom of walking around the Walls of the Old City on the night of Tisha B’Av. On Tisha B’Av the Jews mourn the destruction of Jerusalem and the First and Second Temples, which occurred here in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount thousands of years ago. Israel and the Palestinians were bracing for a potentially bloody showdown Sunday over one of the world's holiest sites, where a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon supposedly set off the Palestinian uprising 10 months ago. Arab and Palestinian leaders warned a ceremony by Israeli ultra-nationalists in Jerusalem near the Temple Mount, known to Arabs as al-Haram al-Sharif, could set off a long-feared war in the region. The tiny Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement won approval from the Israeli supreme court this week to lay a symbolic cornerstone for a new Jewish temple at one of the gates of the Old City, near the ruins of the historic Second Temple. Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdel Ilah Khatib on Saturday warned of a "dangerous escalation" if Jewish radicals went ahead with plans to lay a symbolic cornerstone for Judaism's third temple in Jerusalem. "This is considered an unjustified provocation for the Muslim nation and a violation of the sacred character of Al-Haram Al-Sharif," home to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, the third most revered spot in Islam, Khatib said. He said this would also violate the status of the Islamic holy places as well as international law. Khatib appealed to the UN Security Council to block plans by the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to erect a new house of worship. Petra said Jordan will contact the countries with permanent membership in the Security Council, China, Britain, France, Russia and the United States -- to explain the consequences of such a move. Israel’s Sternest Tests Come From WashingtonJuly 25…While the Western media wonder whether or not Israel acts to undertake a major offensive against the Palestinians, Arab newspapers focus on what stance America will take on Israel. Israelis also focus on America, but often see the US as their greatest threat because it no longer acts as Israel's unquestioning ally. Israeli’s, who cheered the US for its supply of Patriot missiles during the Persian Gulf attacks on Israel by Iraq, now perceive the grave political threat that the United States presents. Ironically, the very country that has pledged to come to Israel's defense in the event of mortal danger, uses her leverage with Israel to facilitate a favorable oil, and strategic policy in the region. While her Arab neighbors prepare for war against her, Israel worries about being given a green light by the U.S. to defend herself against Arab incursions. Biblical Illiteracy in America
July 25…. Many Christian leaders say this generation is the most biblically illiterate generation they've ever seen. The problem: Americans are not guiding their lives by the Scriptures; they're guiding their lives by psychology and popular culture. Note: Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Psalms 19:7-8 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Iran Promises Military Assistance to Syria Against Israel Iran has promised Syria an airlift of military hardware in the event of an all-out war with Israel. Syria's Deputy President Abdel Khalim Khadam visited Iranian officials in Teheran to talk about the possibility of war with Israel. While in Tehran, he said the Palestinian intifada is the "countdown for the destruction of Israel". Khamenei said that the Tehran-Damascus ties are profound and solid and lauded Syria for its support of the Lebanese resistance. President Khatami vowed that the Islamic republic of Iran, will always remain alongside Syria and the Palestinian people. Israeli officials have consistently aired their concerns about Iran developing weapons of mass destruction. Note: Iran is precisely positioned just as forecast in Bible Prophecy. Iran is pushing Syria-Lebanon-Palestine into war against Israel; a war that those nations will lose!Palestinian Preachers call for Martyrs The scratchy loudspeakers atop the old stone mosque carry the midday call to prayer across Bethlehem's main square, and moments later Sheik Abdul Majid Ata launches his diatribe against Israel. We will get the Jews out of our land,' the preacher bellows to the faithful, who spill into the street outside. We will not forget our martyrs. They are going to paradise, and the Israeli dead are going to hell. "We must educate our children on the love of holy war for the sake of God and the love of fighting for the sake of God", Sheik Mohammed Ibrahim al-Madhi said in his mosque sermon on Palestinian TV. Carter slams Bush's Mideast policy
Former US president Jimmy Carter criticized President George W. Bush's Middle East policy in an interview published in the Boston Globe yesterday, citing the Bush administration's failure to demand that Israel remove settlements from the West Bank. Peres attacks Mofaz for calling Authority "terrorist entity" Foreign Minister Shimon Peres Wednesday mounted a sustained defense of the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat. Israeli IDF chief Mofaz had labeled the PA and its chairman Arafat as a terrorist organization. Shimon Peres quickly deflected such an idea, saying that the PA is the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and that Arafat was Israel's’ best hope for peace. Note: Mr. Peres has always had his head in the sand. He believes there can be peace for Israel without the Prince of Peace. ( Jesus Christ )PA-Hamas tension leads to fighting Fighting in Gaza on Monday between PA police and Hamas gunmen was triggered by, and underscored the rivalry between the PA and the militant terrorist group. Hamas and the Popular Resistance Committee, are terrorist groups that favors Arafat's Fatah movement but desire a more militant uprising. A growing number of Palestinians support the armed struggle and Hamas's suicide attacks inside Israel. Note: Fighting for supremacy among murderers and terrorists! Genesis 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.18-Year-Old Israeli Murdered by Fatah Unidentified Arabs kidnapped and brutally murdered 18-year-old Uri Gochin from Jerusalem last night. Last seen at a friend's house in the northeastern suburb of Pisgat Ze'ev around midnight, only three buildings from his own home, on his short walk home, Arabs apparently pounced on him and brought him to the PA town of Al Bireh, where he was shot and stabbed to death. Some Palestinian residents said they found his body north of Ramallah. A PLO Fatah group took credit for the murder. Jewish Faithful will Commemorate day of Temple RemembranceOn Tisha b'Av (29th July 2001), the day which commemorates the destruction of each of the Jewish Temples, 2587 years since the destruction of the First Temple in 586BCE and 1931 years since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70CE, the Temple Mount Faithful Movement plans to ascend the Temple Mount. They will go up not merely to mourn the destruction of the temple, but to attempt the building of the end-times Third Temple. This is the reason that the Faithful want to take the cornerstone with them, and to bring a new prophetic end-time call to the people of Israel and all the world that it is time to rebuild the temple of the God of Israel. Note: Ariel Sharon, the present of Prime Minister of Israel went up to the Temple Mount to demonstrate the sovereignty of Israel over the Temple Mount in the midst of Jerusalem. Ever since the Temple Mount has remained closed. When Sharon was elected he promised to open the Temple Mount to Israelis. The Temple Mount Faithful Movement submitted a petition to the Supreme Court of Israel asking the Supreme Court to open the Temple Mount and to allow the Faithful to enter the holy hill of the God of Israel on Tisha b'Av. Also the petition asks that Jews be allowed to take the cornerstone and to hold the ceremony of anointing it. The Land and Temple Mount Faithful want to have full access to the Temple Mount with full freedom of worship there and the right to rebuild the temple.Sharon losing favor in his party July 24….Few people would ever have believed that Ariel Sharon could be accused of being soft on the Palestinians, but such charges are the linchpin of a political comeback strategy by his Likud party rival, former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. No day passes in which an Israeli is not killed, Mr. Netanyahu told the Likud's central committee Sunday night. Restraint has not brought us international goodwill, only escalation and international pressure. Ironically, it was Mr. Sharon that jumpstarted Israel’s yearning to defend its rights in Jerusalem and on the Temple Mount. Palestinian Spiritual Leaders Preach: "Blessed is he who Kills Jews" Religious leaders in the Palestinian Authority who lead Friday services in mosques continuously emphasize the following eight points:
The Foreign Ministers of the G-8 industrialized countries, meeting today in Genoa, Italy, came out with a unanimous call for international observers to be placed in Israel to monitor the violence between Israel and the Palestinians. The United States has for the first time explicitly backed a proposal for outside monitors to help bring an end to Israeli-Palestinian violence. US diplomats signed up to a resolution by the G-8 countries, the major Western industrialized nations plus Russia, which supported the deployment of foreign observers to help implement the Mitchell plan on ending the 10 months of violence. It marks the first time that such a call garnered United States support. The most significant factor of an international monitoring force being placed in Israel, is that it strips Israel from its right to possess the land, and of the defensive capacity to take action, either to thwart a terrorist attack or to respond to an attack. The G-8 Foreign Ministers decision is a clear crushing of Israel’s sovereignty over the land, and a victory for terrorism Note: Yasser Arafat has regularly called for an international presence in Israel. So, his terror scheme has finally payed off! Any international observer forces need to be placed in the Arab countries that are causing the problems.Rabbis call for mass visits to Temple Mount July 19…. The Rabbinical Council of Judea, Samaria and Gaza yesterday called on all rabbis to bring their communities to visit the Temple Mount, in accordance with halakha (religious law) and urged the Israel public to do the same. This is the first time a group of rabbis representing a substantial segment of the religious Zionist public has ruled it is permissible for Jews to ascend the Temple Mount. Most leading Torah sages have ruled that Jews are not allowed on the mount at all, lest they accidentally tread on the sites to which they would have been forbidden entry when the Temple was standing. They concluded their meeting by calling on all the rabbis of Israel to put their shoulders into saving the honor of the Temple Mount, which is closed to Jews and has been since the outbreak of the Intifada, and to participate in demonstrations and marches that will take place on Tisha b'Av." Tisha b'Av, a week from Sunday, a day of mourning for the destruction of the Temple. The Rabbi's believe that public apathy toward the Temple Mount has been one of the reasons that Israel has experienced the problems they have. Note: Israel is turning its attention more and more to the Temple Mount. The Antichrist will accommodate the Jews by arranging for them to have a place to worship atop the mount. This is the real reason for the ongoing "Temple Mount Intifada".Pope gets boost from Putin July 18,2001…Vatican officials announced that Pope John Paul will travel to the former Soviet republics of Kazakstan and Armenia on September 22-27. Russian President Putin praised John Paul and said his trips to Eastern Europe, including Ukraine will have a positive element. I would be truly happy if relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Holy See developed positively, opening new horizons. Arafat in Cairo seeking Arab SupportYasser Arafat arrived at an Arab League meeting in Cairo, and immediately called up the Arab world to support the Palestinians against the onslaught of a war-mongering government in Israel. Egyptian President Mubarak echoed the rhetoric, saying that the Sharon government was a rogue government bent on dragging the entire region into war. Arafat also requested that the G-8 nations meeting in Genoa allocate 45 billion dollars of relief to a plagued Palestinian people. Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers standing on the outskirts of the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo analyze the Palestinian town of Beit Jalla, where PLO attacks have originated. Extra Israeli soldiers, tanks and military vehicles took up new positions Wednesday, July 18th in the West Bank, beefing up their presence around Palestinian towns as tension and violence escalate. Israeli army massing troops in West BankThe Israeli army says infantry and armored vehicles have been sent to the West Bank. The mobilization may be a prelude to an invasion of the West Bank, which would essentially be a declaration of war against the Palestinian Authority. The Israeli army deployed military reinforcements Tuesday night in the West Bank in response to another round of mortar rocket attacks against the southern Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo. Troops and tanks were sent to various parts of the West Bank including around Bethlehem, which is just south of Jerusalem. Officials in the Prime Minister’s Office pointed out that the rocket attacks represented a serious change in the warfare. Israeli soldiers walk around tanks deployed in the West Bank near Hebron, July 18, 2001. Israel said it had bolstered its forces in the West Bank as a warning signal to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to stop anti-Israeli attacks but an invasion of areas he controls was not imminent SETTING THE STAGE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
July 18…..The failure of the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks at Camp David last year culminated over the controversial question of sovereignty over the Temple Mount, and the status of East Jerusalem. Ehud Barak offered Palestinian Chairman Yasser Arafat 95 percent of what he wanted, including East Jerusalem, but that was still not enough for Arafat. Yasser Arafat wanted absolute sovereign control over the Temple Mount and the neighboring holy sites in East Jerusalem (the Old City). He even signed a Vatican-Palestinian Agreement in February, 2000 calling for Jerusalem to be an international city for Jews, Muslims and Christians, in accordance with the Vatican policy of Corpus Separatum Sanctum status for Jerusalem. Previously, Syria's President Hafez Assad turned down Israel's offer of the Golan Heights because it did not include a 100-meter strip of land along the eastern shoreline of the Sea of Galilee. Today, the Hezbullah terrorists continue to assault northern Israel despite the withdrawal of the Israeli army from South Lebanon. In effect, both the Palestinians and the Syrians blew their opportunities, and now they are dealing with the much tougher government of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. The majority of the people of Israel were tired of the frustrating peace process, and the result was the election of Sharon by a landslide. In reality, however, the peace process is not about the land. It is about an ancient conflict between two faiths, Judaism and Islam. And the leaders of Islam have used the United Nations, the European Union, and the United States to help them in this scheme to defeat their Zionist enemy. The Islamic scheme hasn't worked because the one true God, the Lord Almighty, has had other plans, documented in Holy Scripture thousands of years ago. Those who continue to participate in this diabolic plan of Islam will continue to pay a dear price, eventually paying the ultimate price. The Lord is using these events to bring our times (the church age) to a close, just as prophesied in the Bible. The Muslims call this ongoing conflict a religious war, or Jihad. The Muslims want to destroy Israel, while the Jews keep indicating that they are willing to live side by side with their Arab neighbors. The radical Muslims hardly trust each other, and they can't even coexist together, hence there are no freedoms in Muslim lands. They have a history of fighting each other. ( Genesis 16:12 ) However, they apparently can come together in solidarity when the target is Israel. To further complicate matters, both the American and European business, political and intelligence leaders continue to concern themselves with the steady flow of oil from the Middle East and its economic importance. Events spoken of by Isaiah the Prophet in chapters 17 and 19, having to do with the devastation of Damascus, Syria and Egypt by Israel relative to the Gog and Magog War of Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39, involving the Russian and Islamic invasion of Israel in which they are defeated by Israel through the Lord's help are on the horizon. And the final battle, the Battle of Armageddon, where the world's armies come against Jerusalem as mentioned in Joel 3:1-3 and Revelation 16:16. The Lord said through Zechariah 12:9, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." Who are the Palestinian Suicide Bombers? Because of the depth of feeling among Palestinians, anger, resentment and in some cases despair, there appears to be no shortage of recruits ready to die for a Palestinian state. The refugee camps of Gaza are a spawning ground for hatred. The suicide bombers are typically unmarried men in their late teens and early 20s, who have little hope for a future. They perform the acts of suicide-terror in the belief that they will go straight to paradise, and will get receive places of honor next to God. Most of the bombers are affiliated to the Palestinian militant groups Hamas, or Islamic Jihad. In an amateur video released by Hamas, the bomber of the one attack read a statement vowing to kill Jews and become the next martyr. "I will tear their bodies and their bones into pieces so that they will taste death," "To kill the Zionists, the occupiers, I will do this in honor of the martyrs, and in honor of the Prophet Mohammed and Allah." According to Islamic tradition, he who gives his life for an Islamic cause will have his sins forgiven and a place reserved in paradise. For many years, the suicide attacks perpetrated upon Israelis have been seen by some Palestinians as acts of martyrdom. Recruits are reassured by their organization that their families will be rewarded materially until they die. Recruits are picked out from mosques, schools and religious institutions. They usually are young men who have shown particular dedication to the principles of Islam! Gradually, they get more involved in political issues, and are taught about the rewards that will await them if they sacrifice their lives. Eventually, many of them will volunteer for a suicide mission, hoping for greater glory. They will spend less and less time with their families and devote themselves to religious study and spiritual preparation. Then, they are sent out with just a day or two's notice on how and where to blow themselves up. The suicide bombers can get right to their targets: innocent men, women, and children! Note: What a loving God, this Allah? ( Thou shalt kill )……Thou shalt Not Kill is what God really says! Nobody can enter Heaven or Paradise on such a mission. These so-called martyrs in reality immediately go to Hell, and the Devil delights in their foolishness.Israeli Helicopters Strike in Bethlehem July 17, 2001….Israeli helicopter gun-ships killed four members of the Islamic militant group Hamas in Bethlehem on Tuesday, one day after a Palestinian suicide bombing in Israel that killed two Israelis. An Israeli military source said those killed belonged to the Hamas terrorist cell that was planning another terror attack during the closing ceremonies in Jerusalem on July 23 of the Maccabiah Games, or world Jewish Olympics. One of the dead was identified by Hamas as Omar Saada, 45, who commanded the group's military wing in the Bethlehem area of the West Bank. The aerial assault coincided with a security alert across Israel after Monday's suicide bombing in which the bomber and two soldiers were killed outside a train station in Binyamina. Iranian Airlift sends more arms to Hezbollah, via Damascus
July 17….Iran has transfered hundreds of tons of weapons, ammunition and other materials to the Hezbollah through Syria in recent days, according to reliable sources. The deliveries were air-lifted in by giant Antonov 124 transport planes that landed at Damascus International Airport. July 16,2001….Syria this morning warned Israel not to attack Syrian targets, President Bashar Assad said: "We know that Israel is superior over us in some military fields, but we have decided to stand fast." We will stand fast and repulse the Israeli aggression even if we estimate that the enemy will destroy many of our installations. To start with, we are poor, but we can stand fast more than the Israelis can imagine, and rebuild what may be destroyed. Also, we have weapons that can severely harm the enemy! Egypt threatens Israel, We will stand with SyriaJuly 14,2001….Senior aide to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Osama el-Baz, announced over the weekend that if Israel makes the "major mistake" and attacks Syria, Syria would not stand alone. Egypt announced it would come to Syria’s side against Israel. El-Baz added that Israel better think twice before launching attacks against any Arab nations, especially Syria. Note: The King of the South, mentioned by Daniel is roaring.Barak: We'll never have a peace agreement with Arafat Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak added his voice to those saying that a peace deal will never be reached with the Palestinians as long as Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat is their leader. My feeling is that we cannot have a peace agreement with Arafat. He's not a Palestinian Sadat, or a Palestinian King Hussein... Arafat turned to violence after Camp David, Barak continued, "Camp David was a moment of truth. It would have put an end to what Arafat had done for years, namely, talk in English about his readiness to make peace, and in Arabic about eliminating Israel in stages. He decided that only by turning to violence could he once again create world sympathy. According to Barak, Arafat believed that pictures of young Palestinians facing Israeli tanks would compensate for his failure. His indifference to Palestinian casualties and loss of life is a kind of a Palestinian tragedy. If they were a democratic society they would replace Arafat. Arafat cheated all of us. I put an end to the process of giving him more and more land just to find out in the end that we gave him everything and got nothing in return. Regarding what was exactly offered at Camp David, Barak said that formally "the concessions were ideas raised by the American President Clinton. Barak said Clinton administration's idea was that we should negotiate away Jerusalem. As to the Temple Mount, Barak said that Bill Clinton suggested "an arrangement under which they would have a custodian sovereignty"! Note: President Clinton, in an all out attempt to feather his own political crown, acted in complicity with the conspiracy of the Antichrist!Israeli War Plan Revealed July 12, 2001…Israeli generals are planning for a possible massive invasion of Palestinian territories if the current Mid-east cease-fire fails, says a published report denied by Israeli officials. The report, published by the Jane's Information Group in London, says the goal of the action would be to destroy Palestinian armed forces and the Palestinian Authority, forcing Chairman Yasser Arafat back into exile, as he was for 12 years after the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The plan calls for air strikes by F-15 and F-16 fighter-bombers, a heavy artillery bombardment, and then an attack by a combined force of 30,000 men, including paratroopers, tank brigades and infantry. Israel's Arab neighbors, Syria, Jordan and Egypt are expected to stay out of the fight, but the report considers the possibility that Iraq might try to intervene with troops, who would be destroyed by the Israeli airforce. The report indicates that Israel expects up to 300 of its troops to die in such an attack, with Palestinian deaths in the thousands. The report says the Israeli invasion plan would be launched after another suicide bomb attack which causes a large number of deaths, like the one at a Tel Aviv disco last month. That there is an Israeli contingency plan to re-occupy the Palestinian areas comes as no surprise at all, said one a defense analyst. The Jane's report indicates that the plan was presented to the Israeli cabinet on July 9. Note: Israel should not discount the possibility of Syria joining in such a conflict. Yasser Arafat has lost much of his former leverage with Western leaders too, making the above scenario less offensive to some of the Western Oslo sponsors of the Peace process.Iran will have nuclear bomb by 2005 Iran will be in possession of nuclear weaponry by the year 2005, according to some military defense sources. The Iranians are also preparing the ground-to-ground Shihab-3 missile, the source said. Iran has received help from North Korea and China in the development of the Shihab 3-4-5 missile systems. Iran believes the Shihab-3 is capable of reaching any point within Israel. Iran is already in possession of chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction. Settlers Council Calls for Dismantling PAJuly 12, 2001 Yesha Council spokesman Yehoshua Mor-Yosef released a statement following the two shooting attacks today that it appears PA leader Yasser Arafat’s men are following his orders since the morning hours. Mor-Yosef was referring to Arafat’s instructions to his personnel to "kill a settler a day." Yesha Council leaders are calling for an immediate military response that includes exiling Arafat and the dismantling of the PA and the PLO, the largest terrorist organization in the world. BULLETIN……IMPORTANT!Feisal Husseini´s Last Interview: "Oslo was a Trojan Horse" July 12…On his way to Kuwait, where he later died of a heart attack, PLO senior Faisal Al-Husseini gave what turned out to be his last interview to the Egyptian (Nasserite) daily, ´Al-Arabi´. Following are excerpts from that interview: Q: "What is happening now, unfortunately, is a natural consequence of Arafat´s signing the Oslo Accords which did not explicitly state that the settlements should be removed, or even that their construction be halted,...and did not explicitly determine the future of Jerusalem and the right of return...
A: "Following the signing of the Oslo Accords... I said three things:
A:Had the U.S. and Israel not realized, before Oslo, that all that was left of the Palestinian National movement and the Pan-Arab movement was a wooden horse called Arafat or the PLO, they would never have opened their fortified gates and let it inside their walls! Now, We ar e Inside Israel! Now, the time has come for us to say: "Come out of the horse and start fighting". Look, it is thanks to this horse ( OSLO ) that you were able to get into the walled-in city. ( Jerusalem ) In my opinion, the Intifada itself is the coming down out of the horse. Q: "What are the borders of the Palestinian state you are referring to, and what kind of ´Jerusalem´ would you accept as the capital of your state?"
A: "With this question you are dragging me into talking about what we refer to as our "strategic" goals and our "political" goals, or the phased goals. The "strategic" goals are the "higher goals," the "long-term goals," or the "unwavering goals," the goals that are based on solid Pan-Arab historic rights and principles. Whereas the "political" goals are those goals which were set for a temporary time frame, considering the [constraints of] the existing international system, the balance of power, our own abilities, and other considerations which "vary" from time to time. A: Russia Tests Missile Defense System July 10,2001 -- Russia is said to have tested a new system being marketed to the Middle East and capable of ballistic missile interception. The system is the S-400 Triumph, the successor of the S-300 and regarded as the most advanced anti-aircraft battery developed by Russia. The Triumph is said to be able to intercept both ballistic and cruise missiles. Russian defense sources said the S-400 can destroy a wide range of missiles and aircraft. This includes the U.S. Tomahawk cruise missile. U.S. officials said Moscow is marketing the S-400 to several Middle East countries. These include Egypt, Greece, Iran and Libya. Russian officials have touted the S-400 as more capable than the U.S. PAC-3 system. Ehud Barak Blasts ArafatJuly 10….Former Israel Prime Minister Ehud Barak blamed Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat for the collapse of the Oslo Accords and said that the peace process was based on the assumption that Arafat could be changed and made into a leader of a nation. Barak told a Tel Aviv University conference that Arafat remains an extremist, and promoter of terror. Former US President Clinton recently lamented that his presidency ended in failure because of Yasser Aafat! US Condemns 'Provocative' IsraelThe United States has voiced unusually harsh criticism of Israel for demolishing 17 Palestinian houses in the Gaza Strip on July 10. US State Department spokesman Richard Boucher described the action as "highly provocative" and urged an immediate halt to the destruction. The remarks echoed an earlier statement by the European Union and by British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, who warned that an already volatile situation could be inflamed. But on the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon made remarks likely to further international concerns, calling for the expansion of Jewish settlements on the Golan Heights. He said that expansion was the only way to turn the settlement of the Golan, on occupied territory won from Syria in the 1967 war, into a "reality that cannot be reversed". He further declared that there likely would not be peace with Syria even if Israel returned the Golan to Syria. Note: The construction of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and the Golan is something that the UN and the world will not tolerate. The world is opposed to Israel exercising any Biblical Rights to the Land.Arafat tells followers to Kill a Jew a Day Yasser Arafat has instructed his men to "shoot at settlers and kill a settler every day." A "very trusted source" informed an Israeli newspaper that "the decision-makers in Jerusalem" have received a report stating that Yasser Arafat instructed Muhammad Dahlan not to arrest any terrorists. The report allegedly states that Arafat forbids shooting from within Area A (under total PA control) and terrorism within the Green Line, but it also notes that Arafat told Fatah leaders, "Don't pay any attention to what I say on television or publicly. Listen only to my written instructions." ( Kill a Settler or Jew every day ) Netanyahu tells it like it isFormer Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responded in a recent interview with CNN: The anchorwoman began by saying that the Palestinians accuse you of taking their land, and Netanyahu answered, "It's not their land." At that point, there was a hush in the studio, and news-people were saying, "What did he say? It's not their land?" Netanyahu repeated again, "It's not their land. It's our land, and has been for over 3,000 years. It's been our eternal city of Jerusalem, and our sacred Temple Mount, for 3,000 years... They can stay if they want, we're not pushing them out, but they can't push us out of our ancestral homeland. This message is probably more important than anything else we can say, and I encourage everyone to emphasize it." US, Europe, and Russia worry about Mid-east war Between Israel and SyriaJul 8,2001….The rhetoric between Israel and Syria are warlike, to be sure, and serious enough to draw quick visits from high-ranking U.S. and European diplomats eager to keep relations between Israel and Syria from deteriorating further. After two Israeli air-strikes on Syrian military radar sites in Lebanon, Damascus response so far has not gone beyond angry rhetoric, but the prospect of Syria and Israel falling into tit-for-tat violence, even if short of outright war, is real enough to worry the United States and Europe. Syria is capable of retaliating for any aggression, whatever its magnitude. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State William Burns stopped in Damascus on Saturday, following a trip to Lebanon, to urge the Syrians to exercise "maximum restraint." Also in the region over the weekend spreading similar messages were Russian envoy Andrei Vdovin and European Union mediator Miguel Moratinos. Lebanon is caught in the middle. Lebanon's unwillingness to send its troops to pacify the border, as the United Nations and Israel demand, is traced to Syria's dominance. Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri has expressed misgivings about Hezbollah's challenging Israel at a time when he is telling foreign business that his country is a safe place for investment. Politically, however, he cannot afford to distance himself from the guerrillas. Hezbollah's deputy leader, Sheik Naim Kassem, warned Israel last week to expect an answer to its missile strikes. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. ( Isaiah 17) Crack Iranian Troops Target Rockets On IsraelSmall groups of elite Iranian soldiers who have infiltrated southern Lebanon are preparing for rocket attacks on Israel. They have come closer to their avowed enemy than any Tehran forces since the Shah was toppled more than 20 years ago. Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister, has been told by military intelligence that the Pasdaran, or Revolutionary Guards rocket unit, has trained long-range Fagr-5 rockets on cities in northern Israel. Sharon was informed of the unprecedented airlift to Lebanon of long-range rockets that can strike the center of Israel. Confirmation of the Iranian advance came when a Pasdaran soldier defected to Israel last week demanding political asylum. One intelligence source said the rockets were "strategic weapons to deter Israel from launching a large-scale military onslaught against the Palestinians" and feared they could be used if Sharon carried out a threat to bring down Yasser Arafat's Palestinian authority.
The Supreme Court asked the State this week to respond within a week to a petition demanding that Jews be allowed to visit the Temple Mount. The “Holy Sites Law” stipulates that members of all religions may enter the Mount, and the continuing ban on Jews from doing so is unacceptable. State Attorney Osnat Mandel says consideration is being considered for the possibility of forbidding Moslems to enter the Mount for as long as Jews may not enter. Jerusalem Police Chief Mickey Levy said that bloodshed would result from such a move. The Temple Mount, where the two Holy Temples stood and the third one will be built, is the world's holiest site in Judaism. Israel Warns of Iranian Nuclear ProgramIsraeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer Sunday expressed deep concern over Iran's nuclear development program that he maintained could drastically alter the balance of power in the region. The minister said in Jerusalem that Iran already has chemical and biological weapons and is close to obtaining a nuclear capability "with Russian assistance. Israeli-Palestinian Truce Under New FireA U.S.-brokered truce seemed close to collapse on Monday after two car bombs exploded near Tel Aviv's airport in what a Palestinian group called retaliation for Israel's assassination of Islamic militants. The last events of the last couple of days show how fragile the cease-fire is. All indications are now it will not hold, Four people were treated for shock after the car bombs blew up in the central Israeli town of Yehud. Hours earlier, a missile-firing Israeli helicopter killed three Palestinian militants in a car near the West Bank city of Jenin. The violence pushed even deeper into the future the beginning of a seven-day test period of calm brokered during a Middle East visit last week by Secretary of State Colin Powell as a starting point for a U.S. truce-to-peacemaking plan. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for the Yehud bombings, saying in a statement it was avenging the assassination of five militants, three killed in the helicopter attack and two by Israeli soldiers in a clash earlier on Sunday. Fatah leader: Palestine from the Jordan to the seaAn independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is the objective of the intifada, according to West Bank Fatah chief Marwan Barghouti, but then there would be "bigger things" to aim for. Bush Middle East Foreign Policy being Shaped1 July: The Bush Administration has broken fresh ground by combining US-Saudi Arabian oil links with Israeli military strength and thereby building a cornerstone for its Middle East policy. The colossal flop of President Clinton’s approach to Yasser Arafat, which he freely admitted in an interview run in Newsweek’s July 2 issue, taught President Bush’s advisers a lesson: To avoid at all costs placing his political fate, and America’s foreign policy in the hands of the Palestinian leader. Added to this was the administration’s failure in its first five months in office to put together a working policy on Iraq and Syria acceptable to the Europeans, Russia and China. The new Bush Middle East orientation therefore sidelines the Palestinian option in favor of centering on the combination of Saudi oil and Israeli military strength. These policy blocks were positioned after weeks of discussions between Vice President Richard Cheney’s representatives, and the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, which led to accord on a combined strategy oil policy and pricing on world markets. Both labored under a sense of urgency because of an approaching threat from two quarters to seize control of the oil market, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein and Russia’s Vladimir Putin. Iraq, by diverting massive quantities of oil from the UN-controlled Food for Oil program to smuggling routes, has maneuvered himself into position for throwing world prices into chaos and destabilizing OPEC production levels. Putin has put his hand on the oil lever, making it the mainstay of his regime, and is seeking to dominate the Caspian Sea reserves by collaborating with Iran to construct a new pipeline to the Persian Gulf. Since the Iraqi and Russian rulers play ball in military and diplomatic matters, the Americans, joined by the Saudis, decided to take the oil market in hand before they moved in together. The US and Saudi Arabia have agreed that Arafat’s intifada and his alliance with Saddam Hussein gave Iraq a powerful tool for applying the oil weapon. They also agreed that Arafat’s dream of a Baghdad-Damascus-Hizballah-Gaza axis potentially imperiled Middle East and Persian Gulf stability. Abdullah advocated the international force to prevent terrorist operations from continuing and plunging the region into full-scale war. On the question of peace, he said: “Any serious peace plan requires the support of the Kingdom. We are also the one qualified to persuade all concerned to come to the peace table.” This is the first time any Saudi ruler has undertaken to deal directly with and therefore recognize Israel as a state, a commitment implicit in the phrase persuade all concerned. ( The coming Western Antichrist will utilize the Saudi peace-path ) Coming from Abdullah this acceptance is doubly meaningful and surprising. Not only does he administer the kingdom’s affairs for the ailing monarch, King Fahd, but he is close to its ultra-conservative religious establishment and therefore likely to be less yielding on the Israel question than his more liberal brothers. Having obtained Saudi understanding for the new strategy, the United States went ahead with new forms of military collaboration with Israel. In mid-June, the largest-scale air force ever staged in the Middle East took place over Turkey, with tens of US, Turkish and Israeli fighters, gun-ships and reconnaissance craft taking part. The exercise relayed a clear message to Syria and Iraq that should either or both of them decide to go to war or engage in any kind of belligerence, the Israeli air force would have free use of Turkish air bases to strike at each country, with a combined US-Israeli-Turkish force standing ready to prevent any counter-strike by missile or air bombardment. The exercise also brought the permanent presence of Israeli warplanes and bombers in Turkish bases into the open. Contrastingly, Russia is developing similar strategies with its partners. Note: The theatre for the final epic Middle East drama is being prepared.Israeli warplanes bomb Lebanese positions after Hezbollah attacks Fri Jun 29,2001….Israeli warplanes bombed a hill in southern Lebanon Friday following attacks by Lebanon's Shiite fundamentalist group Hezbollah on nearby Israeli positions that wounded one soldier. At 7:45 pm (1645 GMT), one hour after the Hezbollah attacks, two fighter bombers rocketed a hill between the towns of Shebaa and Kfar Shouba, near the Israeli-occupied Shebaa Farms that were the target of the attacks. Iran military alert for U.S. attackSun Jul 1,2001 -- Iran's military is on alert for a punitive U.S. military attack following the indictment of terrorists in Saudi Arabia with links to Tehran. U.S. defense and intelligence officials said Iranian military leaders warned naval units to watch for some type of U.S. attack. A U.S. official said there are signs that "some in the Iranian regime are bracing for an attack. Tehran apparently believes the U.S. military might trigger an attack by provoking the Iranians into taking some kind of military action. Note: Iran and Syria are behind the Hezbollah attacks on Israel's northern border. Iran will ultimately involve Russia in the great Middle East explosion.Israel attacks Syrian radar station in Lebanon Sun Jul 1,2001 -- Israeli fighter jets bombed a Syrian radar installation in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley Sunday morning. The installation is based in the El Arik area of eastern Lebanon, near Baalbek. Three Syrian soldiers and one Lebanese soldier were wounded in the attack when Israeli jets fired at least two air-to-ground missiles at the station. The IAF jets returned safely to base. Hizbullah responded to the IAF attack by firing several volleys of mortar shells and anti-tank missiles at IDF outposts on the Lebanese border. The intense shelling hit the Dalia, Hadas, and Gladiola forward outposts, strung out along the disputed Har Dov area. IDF artillery and helicopters returned fire at Hizbullah positions. There are no reports of casualties to IDF forces as of this posting. An Israeli government statement said the strike on the Syrian radar station was in retaliation for attacks on Israel by the Syrian-backed Hizbullah. Note: This criminal activity by Hizbullah takes place under the authorization of Syria, whose has army has a presence in Lebanon. The government of Israel has determined that these criminal activities of Hizbullah are being carried out with the full knowledge and sponsorship of Syria, whose army is present in Lebanon.Israeli Minister: Next time the retaliation will be massive Sun Jul 1,2001 -- National Infrastructure Minister Avigdor Lieberman issued a strong warning to Syria. "Israel can retaliate much more forcefully. This is the second warning to Damascus, and I hope they will understand that the third time the retaliation will be much more massive. Meanwhile, Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud said the IDF attack on a Syrian radar station in Lebanon earlier today violates a United Nations resolution permitting Hizbullah to take action to secure the Sheba Farms. In an interview with Al-Jazira television, Hammoud declined to say what Lebanon's reaction would be to the IDF attack, saying only that there will be a response. U.S assesses that next Middle East war will involve weapons of mass destructionSun Jul 1,2001 -- The United States has assessed that the next Middle East war will include the use of ballistic missiles with non-conventional warheads. Defense analysts predict that such countries as Iraq, Iran and Syria might launch chemical and biological weapons attacks in any confrontation with Israel. The assessment has been presented to President George Bush. The White House was told that the Middle East was sliding into a state of war in which all measures could be employed. Officials said the scenarios of a future Middle East war have been discussed with both Egypt and Israel. They said both countries agree on likelihood that WMD could be used. Israeli military planners have assessed that Iraq would be the key to any Arab use of WMD. The Israeli military has prepared plans for Iraqi intervention in any conflict between “Syria” and the Jewish state. Note: Some news articles these days is just like reading events right out of the Bible. |
