Questions

Question # 220 (04-29-04) Is the world coming to an end? It sounds to me from all the terrifying news that the world must be coming to its end. Every where you turn, there is trouble and despair. What is going on? Is there any hope for our world?

Answer…..No, the world is not coming to an end, well, at least not anytime soon. The Bible clearly teaches that there yet remains to be realized a 1000 year long kingdom for Israel on our planet. (Millennium Age-Revelation 20:3, Luke 1:33, Isaiah 9:7, Daniel 2:44, 7:18) Indeed the world of today is progressively degenerating into a very chaotic and terrifying sphere. (signs of the times) But thanks to the providence of God our present world is destined to be rescued from the evil grip of Satan and his eventual Antichrist very soon. Sixty years ago, Adolph Hitler and the Nazi’s proclaimed that the Third Reich would last 1000 years. Obviously the demonic minds of the Nazis (a forerunner scheme of Antichrist prototype conspiratorial dimensions) were mindful of the prophesied thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth, and believed they could mimic or usurp Christ’s kingdom.
The present Middle East turmoil and the embedded evil storm that is brewing in our world is emblematic of the fact that Satan (great red dragon-Rev.12) is jockeying his demonic realm into position to oppose the design of God for our world. The present hornets nest relative to the Israeli-Arab Conflict, and the world hatred for Judeo-Christian (US) support for Israel belies the supernatural warfare that is ongoing in the Heavens. It portends the fact that Jesus Christ is about to return to this world and establish his long anticipated kingdom. Revelation 19:11-16 verifies that Jesus will rule this world with a rod of iron when he returns. (fulfilling Isaiah chapter 2) (Isaiah 2:2-4 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
This world will some day be destroyed, (due to entrophy and sin) and afterwards there shall be a new world and new heaven, (Revelation 21) but they come after the reign of Jesus here on this present earth. But as I say, that scenario is at least one thousand years off in the future with each passing day that does not see the return of Jesus. After Jesus has reigned on earth in Jerusalem for 1000 years, and conquers the brief rebellion of a re-loosed Satan, he will deliver his kingdom unto his Father, and we shall reign with him forever. (I Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.)

Question # 219….(03-26-04) Explain Mathew 24:12. Will the rapture be before this time or will this happen prior to the Second Coming?

Answer……The verse that you are inquiring about is from Jesus Olivet Discourse, that is an exposition on prophecy for 1st century Israel and also serves as a general overall narrative by Jesus on the Last Days. (Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.) Jesus discourse was a prophetic paradigm, meaning that it conveys a historic cyclical pattern for future events. At least 7 of the 12 Disciples, (Peter, James, John, Andrew, Matthew, Mark, and Luke) were privy to have heard Jesus chastise the Scribes and priests in a sermon near the temple treasury. While there, Jesus responded to one of the Disciples remarks about the magnificence and splendor of the glorious buildings on the Temple Mount. Jesus flatly and emphatically responded that those buildings would be totally destroyed. This single statement was shocking to the Disciples, as the Temple was central to Judaism, and its destruction could mean an insurrection, or worse. After leaving the Temple Mount, and ascending to the top of the Mt. of Olives, four of them approached Jesus in secret, as they were fearful of the implications of Jesus words, but yet were acutely curious about what was to come. They asked him three specific questions; (Matthew 24:3 when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?) Their questions, though they did not realize it, actually pertained to three distinct and different time periods in history. The destruction of the temple pertained to their generation. The signs pertaining to Jesus 2nd coming obviously pertained to the Last Days, and the 3rd question pertains to the end of the Millennial Age, when this present world will be destroyed, and replaced as described by the Revelation 21 scenario.
Jesus remarks throughout the Olivet Discourse run across the panorama of time, except where explicitly established for a specifically set period of time. For instance, verse 15 speaks to a specific event at mid-tribulation, and verses 21 and 29-30 refer to the Tribulation and its climax, while verse 35 looks way out ahead to the end of the world. Verses 32-34 relate to a prophetic parable for signs pertaining to the days just before his 2nd coming.
Now, back to your verse; (And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.)
This situational criterion pertains to 1st century Jewish society leading up the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, and it also pertains to the cultural-religious situation before the Rapture with regard to the Church of the Last Days, and it also pertains to the situational environment for Tribulation saints, who will be hounded by the forces of the Antichrist.

Question # 218….(03-23-04) What are your thoughts regarding the recent events in Israel regarding the assassination of Sheik Yassin? Personally, I thought they made a great "extraction." Now, instead of going on the defensive, shouldn’t Israel go forward with more surgical strike type elimination’s? Also, what do you make of the terrorism cyber-security chief Richard Clark's new book about Bush and his staff?

Answer…… Israel's pinpoint assassination of Sheik Yassin was appropriate, however I think it was far too late in timing, just as the assassination of Yasser Arafat would be way too late to do much good. (although at this point they should go ahead and continue to strike at terrorists anywhere they can find them) Israel should have killed Arafat in 1982, if not sooner. Israel held Sheik Yassin in prison several years ago, but consented to release him (due to UN political pressure) because of a botched assassination attempt in Jordan. Israel is in the process of having to leave portions of Gaza and the West Bank due to international pressure (UN-US-EU) to jumpstart the peace Quartet’s Roadmap. In that staged withdrawal Israel has decided that it is their self interest to diminish the influence of Hamas in Gaza as much as possible. It is hoped that by cutting off the "religious head" that the snake of Hamas might crawl away, but that is not going to happen. (the demonic hatred of Israel is the fuel that fans the flames of terror--and there are many, many more Yassins out there) Hamas is fed military supplies from Egypt, Iran, and North Korea. (Egypt allows terror units to infiltrate via tunnels from the Sinai into Gaza-and this is supposed to be a peace-partner) Abdul Aziz Rantissi is the military head of Hamas, and Israel miss fired on an assassination attempt on him a few weeks back. I expect that they will try again on him very soon, since he will now take over Hamas. The Hamas military wing, Izzedine al Qassam, plans and carries out these insidious attacks on Israelis under Rantizzi’s direction.
The poor Palestinians are simply caught up in a frenzied environment of hate, and this hatred will not vanish with Israeli surgical strikes, for it is the working of Satan through a demonic religion. You probably have noticed that all the news media outlets reported that Israel's actions would only escalate the violence. That is a presumptuous political necessity on their part. They, being controlled by a conglomerate of Global hierarchy, want a cycle of escalation, and they always cast the blame for the violence on Israel, instead of the terrorists. They all desire more Israeli concessions, and more and more pressure on America. Israel’s surgical strikes are probably only a band-aid on a malignant cancer. Israel have long ago went on a total offensive against terrorism, but the UN will not stand for it, it will not stand for and any American President that supports Israel pursuing a war on terror. (such as the US war on terror) Any US President that moves the American embassy to Jerusalem or fails to coerce israel into peace concessions will find that He has placed the US in the gun-sights, not only of Al Qaeda, but the whole world. Even moderate Palestinians feel like Israel is pushing for the inevitability of war because of their political decisions during the Oslo process that made life intolerable for the average Palestinian. The return of Arafat (agreed to by Rabin) fostered the promotion of Yassin, and his the like. The average Palestinian lost his freedom! Israel should have NEVER entered into any association with the EU-UN Middle East Peace brokers that allowed for the re-insertion of Yasser Arafat back into Gaza. Arafat and his thugs were isolated in Tunisia, and they should have never been permitted to return to Israeli-territory. But, due to UN-Vatican pressure, Arafat was allowed to return to GAZA in return for his repudiation of terror in 1990. (Israel swallowed that "pill of poison" because she is desperate for peace, and remains blind to the truth of the Prince of Peace) We now stand at the threshold of WWIII because of that error. But, this Arafat-complicity has served the conspiracy of the Antichrist perfectly. The AC order has contained Israel from exercising sovereignty over Jerusalem, and placed Israel squarely in the eye of a gathering demonic storm---terrorism! Hamas, under Yassin and Rantissi has become allied with Hezbullah in South Lebanon. Israel is being slowly (under constant terror negotiating) entrenched into a strategically planned logistical pincer/vice. Hamas and Hezbulloh, along with Arafat's PLO are slowly inching forward for the kill as America becomes more and more isolated. They have coordinated strategic plans with Al Qaeda, PFLP, Hezbollah, and many other State-sponsored (Syria, Iran) terrorist organizations to gain concession after concession from Israel, and to gradually reduce American influence and resolve to support Israel. This strategy is a scheme of the Global AC order. They are using Islam to weaken the US, and thereafter to render Israel helpless in its defense. I believe that America is in for a BIG HIT, (nuclear) sooner or later. I think that the EU, UN, and the Globalist ideologues, among many of whom are well-positioned in the US government and are in effect working to decrease American dominance in the world, through political intrigue. (they hate Bush and his Middle East "pre-emptive doctrine" that supports Israel's right to exist) This year’s election will be extremely important to America's fate for several reasons. It is all too clear that Carter-Kerry-Chirac-Anan, and that whole endless list of liberal socialists crowd celebs are coordinating a plan to extinguish the independence of our Christian Republic, and to transition the US into a One World Socialist-Democratic Order, in which a UN/European Super Man dominates. I can foresee where Satan is marshaling his demonic forces against America on several fronts....so that he can later set his "Final sights" on Israel:

  1. a judicial war to change American law, & Christian morals, homosexuality, marriage issues
  2. a campaign against Christian roots in America ...10 Commandments, etc separation-church-state, etc.
  3. political war to blacklist traditional Conservatism politically in America
  4. a culture war to entice Americans into paganism, sexual perversion, etc
  5. religious war to eradicate Fundamentalism in Christian America by promoting contemporary ecumenicalism, praise worship (music, etc) and religious tolerance, unity, etc
  6. a terrorism war to isolate America from international acceptance, and force America to abandon Israel
  7. a global ideological war to discredit America (Bush) and coerce its submissive into a New order

The recent event in Spain has highlighted the terrorism-security urgency. European leaders have flatly stated that the only way to defeat terrorism is to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Bin laden himself laid out the scenario for us all 3 years ago: "There will be no peace for the world until there is peace in Palestine" and the peace that he and the elite world leaders have in mind is a world where there is no true Christianity and no Israel. Then they can have their peace! Israel and America (under Bush) could wage a successful war on terrorism, through surgical strikes, and selective campaigns in certain States, but unfortunately, the world just won't take all that RISK for the sake of little ole "expendable" ISRAEL.

Question # 217….(03-09-04) Doesn’t the Bible say that in the end time that all the Jews will be saved. Isn’t this the 144,000 in Revelation?

Answer.......You are obviously referring to Romans 11:25-26. The remnant of Jews alive at the time when Jesus returns to rescue Israel from the wrath of the Antichrist will be saved. ( For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.) These will be surviving Jews at the end of the Tribulation, or the remnant (Ezekiel 6:8) according to the election of grace. Matthew 24:22 and Mark 13:20 each indicate that God has foreordained that for the “elects sake” (Israel, Jews) that he will interrupt Satan’s final scheme to annihilate the Jews and save them from their own covenant with the Antichrist. (Isaiah 28:15-18)
This scripture passage doesn’t mean that all the Jews of all time (many Jews have died without faith) will be saved in the future. To die without the salvation of Christ or the former (Old Testament) imputed righteousness is to be eternally lost. There are no second chances. (Romans 4:3-5 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.) Righteousness was accounted to OT Jews based upon their faith that God would one day send the sacrificial Lamb. Since Christ came of course, we can look back to that reality and accept or reject his atoning work. (I John 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.)
Zechariah is in agreement with Jesus words in Matthew and Mark. He even indicates that about 2/3 of the remnant Jews of the Last Days will be killed during the Tribulation, or the time of Jacob’s Trouble. (Zechariah 13:8-9 And it shall come to pass in the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.)
The 144,000 that are mentioned in Revelation Chapter seven are tribulation era converted servants. (12,000 each from the old tribes of Israel) They will be newly sealed converts of Elijah and Moses, and together they will forward the testimony of Christ during that dark time when the Church is absent from the world.

Question # 216….(03-08-04) Won’t there be a 3rd Coming of Christ? Matthew 16:28 says that He came back in the 1st Century. Also in Matthew 24:15 and verse 21 says the abomination of desolation and the Great Tribulation took place in the 1st century. What is your explanation of these things?

Answer……. There are only two literal comings of Christ, with the 2nd Coming actually occurring in two stages. In the first phase of the Second Coming, (parsouia-appearing) Christ simply appears far above the earth to gather the remaining saints. (the event known as the Rapture, which will occur before the tribulation) Afterwards, He literally returns seven years later to the earth to rule in the Millennial Kingdom (epiphaniea-royalty) from Jerusalem. The unbiblical concept known as "Preterism" (Preterism teaches that most prophecy related to the tribulation period was fulfilled in the first century) teaches the view that you have expressed in your questions. The passage in Matthew 16:28, “there are some of those who are standing here (the disciples) who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom,” was fulfilled 6 days later (Matthew 17:1-8) in the transfiguration of the Son of Man into the King in all His glory on the mountain. Peter, James, and John were able to see Jesus as King when as it says in scripture, “He was transfigured before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.” The disciples who saw the Transfiguration understood what they saw. This is evident from their question as they came down the mountain, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” This question showed that they held an understanding of the significance of Jesus standing on the mountain with Moses and Elijah. They understood the prophecy in Malachi 4:5-6 indicating that Elijah the prophet would be sent to prepare the way for the King Messiah to reign over His kingdom. (Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord,) What they received at the Transfiguration of Jesus was a preview of the Lord coming at the end of history to set up His Kingdom. Matthew 24:15-21 speaks of the abomination of desolation (Antichrist) which is verified to be still in the future by the as yet unfulfilled prediction in verses 29-30. Later, Paul alluded to the future abomination of desolation (II Thessalonians 2:2-3) and described it as occurring only after the rise (permitted–although his iniquitous mystery constantly works) of the Man of Sin, which would be held in check until after the Rapture. It is this imposter (Antichrist) that the Lord will slay when he returns to establish his kingdom.

Question # 215…..(03-02-04) Are there many Christians that live in the West Bank under the Palestinian controlled areas? What is life like for Christians under the PA?

Answer……… As you may realize, the very word “Christian” can be a very vague term. There are many people who may think and claim that they are a Christian when in truth they really aren’t. But using the term as it is commonly used in the Middle East, there are approximately 35,000 Christians who live in the West Bank and another 3,000 in the Gaza Strip that live under the Palestinian Authority. This number represents about 1.3 per cent of the Palestinian population. About 1/3 of the total Palestinian Christian population, or around 12,500 Christians reside in Arab eastern Jerusalem.
Hundreds of Palestinian Christians have applied for Israeli citizenship since the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993, and thousands more since the start of the Al Aqsa Intifada. The first Palestinian uprising against Israeli administration of the disputed territories (the 1987-1993 intifada) was a significant factor in the decision by many Christian Arabs to leave the West Bank, but the recent (2000-present) uprising has rendered the Christian community in the West Bank as virtually nil. Yasser Arafat’s PLO terrorist machine has been employed as a demographic scheme to empty the area of Jews and Christians. Often the Palestinian Christians are caught in the crossfire of PLO terror gangs and IDF reprisals.
Becoming a Christian in many Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran and in the PA under Yasser Arafat, can mean that one loses one's job, one's schooling, one's family, and even one's own life. Palestinian Christians are often accused of being collaborators with Israel, and end up being executed in the public square without any formal trial.
Under Islam, Christians are considered dhimmi, a tolerated but secondary class of people who are afforded a kind of temporary tolerance by Islam. Islam is the official religion of the Palestinian Authority. Sheik Yassin is the fundamentalist Hamas cleric that interprets Islamic Sharia law in Gaza, and he openly advocates the death of Israel. The Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movements have enforced Islamic influence upon Palestinian society, and viciously silenced all other voices. The Palestinian people are thus governed by Islamic Shari'a law, with regard to issues pertaining to religious matters. According to Shari'a Law, applicable throughout the Muslim world, any Muslim who converts or declares himself a Christian is becoming an “unbeliever” and is committing a major sin punishable by capital punishment. Arafat's Fatah intelligence network has routinely intimidated and maltreated the Christian population in the West Bank. Palestinian Christians are often perceived as a potential Fifth Column for Israel. Thus most Christians living under Yasser Arafat’s authority keep it a closely guarded secret.

Question # 214…..(2-04-04) Why me. It follows me wherever I go. I try to leave but HE won't let me. I tried to save my children, but some unknown force keeps them with him. Are we the walking damned. No, I’m sorry, but Jesus was just a man. A good man, but just a man. The sooner we are finally gone from this earth, real darkness will descend. Satan shall win, for the gentile world deserves him. We are dwindling in size. I am tormented by my genes, but I have an insight that you can't get without being a Jew. It's unique but painful. Will they come for me tonight and my children? I am a different Jew in one sense, I will not put my hands up to surrender, no white flag over my door, for I will go down with the ship fighting. It must to so relaxing to be a gentile, no nightmares, devils, or rooms of death. We Jews will leave this earth soon, but we were once here and gave the world some words of meaning.

Answer…….God loves Israel, and he loves the Jewish people. Jesus Christ was a Jew!
He weeps for Israel, and he will deliver his people. Had it not been for Israel, the church could never have even come into existence. Christians must be for Israel or they are not genuine Christians, (or just ignorant) for the Spirit of God who lives in a born-again Christian is the same Spirit who has gathered a small remnant of Jews to the Promised Land, and will soon return unto them. God is not divided against himself, nor should the church (or a Christian nation) take a diverse path from God’s providential plan for the restoration of the Jewish people. When a person is against Israel, another spirit is working in him! (the spirit of Antichrist) When Christians are against Israel, they should realize that with this attitude they are treading upon their own roots. (But for you my friend, unless you acknowledge Jesus as your personal savior, instead of relegating him to the dustbin of human history, you will never experience the salvation of Israel.) Satan has forever sought to eradicate Jews from the populace of the earth, and it is he that compels upon men and nations to foment anti-Semitism and to hate Israel. God forewarned Israel of the calamity (Deuteronomy) that would befall the descendants of Jacob (Jews) if they fell away from him because of the extreme enmity and hatred that Satan has for the Jewish nation. Satan is the author and architect of anti-Semitism. (Jesus is the only hope you have--don’t reject him)

Question # 213…..(2-04-04) I have been reading some of your articles, which by the way, I find to be excellent teaching material. I do feel the need though to point out a difference we have with a statement you made and would appreciate further comment or explanation from you in this regard. Below is a quote from your article " Why Did God Choose Israel"? ("Every person has been chosen by God! In the great choosing up question, it is really just this simple. God chooses you; on the other hand, the devil chooses against You! That makes a tied choice! You have the final vote and can decide the choice:) If the above is correct, why then the scripture verse which says "many are called, few are chosen? Jesus said that, "all the Father has given him he has lost none, except the son of perdition". In other words, sovereign election is by divine plan and purpose. I'm not disputing man's free will in exercising choice of salvation. It's true, that God would have "all men to be saved" and that "He is not willing that any should perish". How this is reconciled with God's sovereignty isn't for me to debate, but rather only believe what God has spoken. God's foreknowledge is based on His sovereignty as well. Man does not merit this choosing or else grace wouldn't be grace. The whole aspect of salvation is based on grace and mercy extended to man apart from man's worthiness or lack of worthiness. It appears He has spoken, the bible teaches both. God can reconcile His word. At least this is my understanding. I trust my questions will be received not as a case for dissension, but on the contrary as one who wants to be diligent to search the scriptures to see if these things be so. I'm a seeker of truth and your statement above I found disturbing.

Answer……First, let me thank you for complimenting Focus on Jerusalem. I appreciate your encouragement and your FOJ web-site visits. Secondly, your question is much appreciated also, and in reality I don’t think we actually have a disagreement on the matter of election, the dispensation of grace, or on the free will expression of faith. God by demonstrating his love for fallen man chose to extend his grace to all humankind, by manifesting his son in a human body to become the propitiation for sin. God is not willing that anyone perish, (II Peter 3:9) but rather out of his great love has made it possible for anyone to come to repentance. And repent is what man must do to be saved! Men first need to acknowledge their sinful condition and thus their need for repentance. In the “ Why God Chose Israel” article, I was essentially highlighting the process of election. God has acted favorably to avail to every individual the opportunity to obtain salvation, (with Satan hoping people reject that gift) and it is merely left up to each individual to choose it. The verse that you refer to (for many are called, but few are chosen) from Matthew 22:14 is a portion of the Kingdom of Heaven’s wedding invitation parable. The wedding invitations have been sent out, RSVP (to the bidden--all) but many have simply rejected the invitation. (Matthew 22:3) In verses eleven through thirteen, the parable discloses that there are some people attempting (works religion) to get involved (thinking themselves saved) at the wedding that have never been clothed with a wedding garment. (salvation) (Revelation 3:17-18) This is a picture of false prophets and false teachers, or people that have not been chosen (spiritually called) by God to be leaders or shepherds of the flock. Thus the reason for the verse, for many are called, (invited) but few are chosen. (truly saved) (Matthew 7:14-15 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.) (KJV)

Question # 212….(2-03-04) My question is, You speak of a falling away of the church in your answer to question 38. Yet today we hear of revivals in South America and even in China. Are we deceiving ourselves that we are gaining ground? You also speak of the withdrawing of the "faithful church." In what ways are the others unfaithful? Bless God, (Yong C Tang)

Answer……The “ Great Falling Away” is a phrase that Paul used in his discourse on the subject of the “Last Days and the appearing of Christ” with the church at Thessalonica. The Thessalonians were troubled by reports that the Day of Christ had already come and thus feared that they had been left behind, as they had been taught by Paul that when Christ returned he would “gather” all of his followers when he appeared. (II Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him) But Paul reassures them that they have not been left behind, and that before the Lord comes, a great falling away will take place first. The phrase, “falling away” simply refers to a massive and universal deviation from the teachings and doctrines of Christ, by the church in general in the days just prior to his return. Paul continues on to remark that this “mystery of iniquity” (tendency toward apostasy) had already begun its infiltration in their day, but that it would not be allowed to work its full leavening (corruption-spiritual whoredom) effect until the great restrainer was removed.
The final falling away stage is directly linked to the age of Laodiceanism, (Revelation 3:14-18) or the last stage of the general church before the Apostate stage of the Tribulation era. This fact does not mean that there will not be a very resilient and faithful Bride (church) still upon the earth in the Last Days, or that there will not be a fruitful harvest of revival in some places. It only speaks to the fact that the true and faithful portion (holdover remnant of the Philadelphia church stage) of the church will become a less and less visible entity on earth because the Church/religious world trend will be to more and more condone the things mentioned in II Timothy chapters three and four. It does seem to me today that other parts of the world, (certainly not the US) such as China, are experiencing great spiritual visitations, and thank God for that. It is never too late to preach the gospel, and that mission must always continue! The Bride of Christ is on the winning side, but lets remember, it is Jesus Christ who has gained the victory, and defeats the powers of Hell, not the church. Anytime a church departs from the fundamentals of Bible doctrine, it has become blinded to the truth and has encroached over into the tragic realm of the fallen-away status, and is in danger of total deception.

Question # 211….(01-23-04) I am just curious, where in the bible is the prophetic validation that there would be one world order and one world currency. I have researched and have been unable to find the answer. Also could you give me the prophecy of the rebuilding of the temple and the significance to the end of times. Thanks for your help.

Answer…….The answers to your questions are very complex and to justly respond to them would require a great deal of in-depth exposition, far more than I can supply in this format. There are no actual scripture references that specifically and unequivocally refer to a world order or to a world currency. However, a deduction for that assumption can be made from several principle scripture referenced - prophetic visions concerning the Last Days kingdom of the Antichrist. From these verses we can readily see that the empire of the Antichrist will be different (diverse) from all kingdoms that have existed in the past. The description from Daniel 7 conveys that it will devour the whole earth, tread upon and break it into pieces. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Antichrist will have absolute universal control of the world, but it does infer that his diverse kingdom, with the prior geo-political help of the “ten kings or toes” (Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 and 17) will be able to trample the whole world into a submissive world order. However, Daniel informs us that the kingdom of the Antichrist will not be politically stable. He says these that these “ten kings-toes” will be divided, and that simply refers to their being divided over governing philosophy and ideologies. However, they will agree to cooperate together under a world system of order under the authority of the Antichrist, but even that arrangement will be short-lived. (see Rev. 17:12) This kingdom simply will not “cleave” (debaq-meaning fails to be cohesive) together, because of the deep geo-political power chasm that divides them. The Antichrist will attempt to use religion as the unifying force within this global kingdom. This event occurs at the midpoint of the Great Tribulation, in the city of Jerusalem. (abomination of desolation)

(Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.)

(Daniel 2:41-44 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron (dictatorships) mixed with miry clay, (democracy) they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.)

(Revelation 17:12-13 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, (global unity) and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.)

(Revelation 13:16-17 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.)

The indications from the Bible that lend themselves to the conceptual teaching relative to a universal currency come solely from the above verses in Revelation 13. The Antichrist will be empowered dually by the world business and economic spheres together with the geo-political establishment to compel the whole world to submit to a universal mandated system of trade. Without membership in this economic-trade alliance order, one would be unable to participate in commerce. The present globalization movement is already leading us in this direction.

References to the rebuilding of the Temple by the Messiah (Jesus Christ) can be found in Ezekiel 37:24-28, Amos 9:11, Haggai 2:9, Zechariah 6:12-15, Micah 1:2, Malachi 3:1, Ezekiel 40-44, Acts 15:16, Revelation 11:1-2. The Antichrist will desecrate a third Jewish temple around the midpoint of the Tribulation, as evidenced in Daniel 8:11-12, Daniel 11:45, Revelation 13:6-7, Matthew 24:15 and II Thessalonians 2:4.
