God hath appointed an affixed space for mankind
to have ample opportunity to find "that man" whom
he raised from the dead! The 'Time" of ignorance is
past; and a day of righteous judgement is approaching.
The Bible accords us a novice glimpse of Time. We
can attest to biological time, harvest time, lunar time,
cyclical time, dynamical time, linear time, times of stress,
subjective time, and seasonal time; but for some very
strange reason mankind has a tough time connecting
mentally to the signs of the Times.
Jesus reprimanded the religious elite of his time for
not being able to discern the "Signs of the Times"! It
was Israel's great sin that they were not anticipating a
timely visitation from beyond space and time!
Luke 12:56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the
sky and of the earth, but how is it that ye do not discern this
Time?
That time of course was the first visitation of Jesus!
The season of the second visitation of Jesus to this
world is the grand event to which all of linear time is
correlated with. God has providentially signalized the
nation of Israel to be the timepiece of the seasons.
Since it is to Israel that Jesus will be coming back,
so Israel must have needed to exist for that fortuitous
occasion to occur. It was for this very important point
that Jesus himself specifically alluded to the parable
of the fig tree in its connection to the rebirth of the
state of Israel.
So then; What Time is it? What season is it?
Israel has been reconstituted among the nations of
the world since 1948, and its continued survival within
the world's community of peoples is tied directly to a
countdown of the season of time known as the "Time
of the Gentiles".
Israel is God's clock! The land of Israel is the face
of that clock, while world focus on Jerusalem points
to the midnight hour.
Jesus conveyed to his disciples information which
conveys the timing of the last days. In his remarks in
the Olivet Discourse, Jesus spelled out a connection
between the rebirth of Israel and the conclusion of
the Times of the Gentiles. During that generation of
time, all the things pertaining to the end of the age
were to be accomplished. We today are living inside
the waning years of that terminal generation!
However, time will not yet be ended, nor will the
world come to an end. Judgement will come to this
world, but the world shall continue for another one
thousand years.
God made a promise to Israel regarding a kingdom
upon this planet. That covenant is of course known as
the Abrahamic Covenant.
In Jeremiah 31:35-37 God stipulates this to Israel:
Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the Sun for a light by
day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a
light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves that
are thereof roar; the Lord of hosts is his name:
If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord;
then shall the seed of Israel cease from being a nation from
before me forever.
Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured,
and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I
will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all they have done,
saith the Lord. ( See also Jeremiah 33:25-26 )
God has promised Israel that as long as the sun,
moon, and stars continue being signs in the heavens
for time, and for seasons; that he also shall not ever
forget his covenant with the house of Abraham! So;
whenever I go outside at night, and I ponder the sky
and review the stars and the vast host displayed in
the heavens; and think about the sudden rebirth of
tiny little Israel in 1948; "I realize what TIME it is!"
It is Time for Jesus to come back to this earth! It
is Time for Israel to enjoy the blessed fulfillment of
God's promises; and for King Jesus to reign upon his
throne in the city of David.
Yes, the end of "time" will come; but only after
God has finished striving in time with man; only
after Israel has been accorded its time as the pride
of all nations during Jesus Millennial reign.
Revelation 21:1 puts it like this:
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away;
Isaiah 61:19-20 The sun shall be no more thy light by day
neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee; but
the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God
thy glory;
The sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon
withdraw itself; for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light,
and the days of thy mourning shall be ended!
Indeed for time to end, the universal clock of the
heavens; ( sun, moon, stars, orbits ) must be replaced!
But replaced with what?
When I hear people mock Bible prophecy, and the
relative subject of the imminent return of Jesus, often
they remark that Time has always been, for billions of
years; and that Time will continue. But unfortunately
they ignore the earthly timeclock of Israel and ignore
that there is one who will arrive in Jerusalem at the
midnight hour; and that: "He is coming from beyond Space and Time!"
