"Psalms 122"
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
May they prosper who love you"

The soon coming Joy of Going to the House of the LORD

Psalms 122:1-9
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Oh Lord, we know that Israel is the apple of Your eye and that You hold her in the palm of Your hand. We know also that your precious son Jesus will soon make His triumphal entry through the eastern gate. We know that his feet shall touch down on that day to the east of Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives, and that he will march across the Kidron Valley right into the city of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will then become the seat of his government, and all the earth shall be his domain. We love Israel because 'You' first loved Israel. We know that we have been blessed through Israel her in the person of Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father, Jesus said that there would be unrest in Israel until He came again, because Israel will never know any real peace until the Prince of Peace returns. However, he instructed us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and so we pray for the peace-of-Jerusalem so that our prayers can help facilitate the peace of His return, and the answer to the Lord's Prayer. ( Matthew 6:9-10: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. )

Psalms 137:5-6

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Isaiah 62:1

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

In the wonderful name of Jesus, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I set myself as a watchman and will not rest until Jerusalem is a voice of praise in all the earth.

Even So, Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Isaiah 62:6-7

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
