The "last day" in this life, whenever it should come
for any believer in Jesus; is like the "last day" of every
believer past, present, or future. Thusly the "Last Days"
are kaleidoscoped into a single event as each believer
passes out of Time into Eternity; making all departure
times synonymous with the Great Day of the Lord!
It is this great gathering of all believers which makes
death for the departing Christian a time of tremendous
reunion. It is a reunion with other Christians; but it is
also a time for union with his eternal extra-dimensional
soul and body.
On those ocasions when a Christian senses within
his soul a vibrancy and edification of the Holy Spirit,
in reality, that's an innate spiritual longing of the soul
contained within his time-bound earthly fleshly body
yearning to be united with his eternal heavenly body
which is awaiting him in the third or upper heaven.
II Corinthians 12: 2 speaks of a man caught up into
that third heaven, which is beyond space and time. It
was the glorious eternal Heaven of God that was being
described, a place far beyond our perspectives within
the lower cosmological heavens of space.
From Genesis chapter one, we know that space, time
and matter were the raw materials that God used for
actually constructing the universe. Light was created as
the fourth building block for construction. From these
componets God gave fashion and form to a finished
product with the design of making it with conformity
for life-sustaining specifications!
We are mere houseguests in someone else's universe,
and as guests we are accountable to the owner of this
house. He has affixed the time proportions of our visit
within his habitat. We gaze upward at the heavens he
has prepared as a canopy for our view from our low
window vantage point and marvel at the magnificence
of the structured universe. We survey the cosmos and
search throughout his house looking for secrets to our
significance and imagine vain ideas in our minds.
But Isaiah 40:22 says: It is he that sitteth upon the circle
of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;
that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth
them out as a tent to dwell in. Two thousand two hundred years before Columbus
ever speculated about the earth being round; Isaiah
relates that the earth was a circle, and that God had
stretched out the spacely heavens like a curtain, even
crafting the entire universe to be a tent covering for
us to dwell inside of. This vast tent entails all of what
we speculate to be the second heaven, making earth's
immediate atmosphere the environs of the lower part
of the heavens. When we realize that eternal Heaven
( 3rd heaven ) is beyond the unfathomable stretches
of the second heaven, we catch just a glimmer of the
greatness of the Creator!
The Creator must exist outside of Time. Nothing in
the universe can go back to the creation. We can only
track the trail that the Creator left behind. He lives in
a timeless eternal state dependent on nothing else but
his Word!
Only one who is "I AM" could make all things be!
Our physical universe has been drastically altered by
the fall of man. We now live in a damaged tent, which
is deteriorating. Time itself has been affected by man's
fallen state. We view time as an absolute, like a single
dimension measured by a fixed unchangeable natural
master clock. In reality, time is multi-dimensional. Man
has simply become trapped in a one-dimensional travel
through what we call linear time.
In creating the earth and its vast tent as a home
for man to live in, God never intended for man to
be universally lost in time and space. Early humanity
lived to 10 times longer than modern man. But God
meant for man to be an eternal being, unbound by
the time and aging factors of a deteriorating world.
The laws of thermodynamics and entrophy convey
to us that our universe is wearing out. Things in our
cosmos, including us, are simply decaying away. Time
is taking a toll on everything and everyone. Whereas
men seek after a fountain of youth, the bottom line
remains that everyone dies and everything continually
loses its designed order.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 states: To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under heaven.
And so it is that God has utilized "Time" in order
to accomplish his good pleasure; to prepare man for
living as an eternal righteous being! Without the time
progression allotment accorded to mankind, we would
have never known God's love, nor ever been afforded
the mysterious wonder of grace. Angels, being timeless
creatures are accorded only one opportunity to dwell
in righteousness and those angels which fell with old
Lucifer, made that decision outside of times domain.
Bible prophecy frequently conveys an immediate
and a future fulfillment in time. Time often runs in
seasons of cycles, thereby permitiing one event to be
cast as a foreshadowing of an event that may be yet
future for mankinds linear time journey.
Although time is measured in history in terms of
clocks and calendars, it is also articulated into seasons.
These periods of time unfold as God periodically uses
it to bend or fashion history according to his divine
perspective. Often God diverts the consummation of
events through miracles or judgements! God's actions
from within his eternal domain can affect mankind's
past, present, and our future while we may never even
be aware of the ongoing manifest influence of the one
who is the great "I am" beyond space and time.
A consummation of all the ages lies just ahead; it
is a time when all of human history and all things
under heaven will exhibit themselves to be nothing
more than a shadowy preparation for God's eternal
habitation with his righteous creatures in that great
eternal home beyond space and time.
God hath already declared that the season of end
times has been inniated. He who began time back in
Genesis matter of factly instructs us in The Revelation
that the time of the consummation of the end of our
age, or season is nigh!
Read carefully Acts 17:24-28 God that made the world
and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and
earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with mens hands, as though He
needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath,
and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to
dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the
Times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel
after him, and find him, though He be not far from every
one of us;
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as
certain also of your own poets have said; For we are also
his offspring.
And in Acts 17:30-31 And the Times of this ignorance
God winked at; but Now commandeth all men everywhere
to repent:
Because he hath appointed a day, in which He will
judge the world in righteousness by "that man" whom He
hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all
men, in that He raised him from the dead. |
