Question # 81... What can President Bush do to bring about a better situation regarding the current cycle of violence that is ongoing between the Israeli's and the Palestinian? It seems to me that there is no end to the tit-for-tat violence.

Answer……. There really is very little that President Bush can do to cause the violence to cease. The U.S. can only use its economic-diplomatic influence to temporarily stifle the heated relations between the two parties, but in the end analysis, it takes two parties that truly desire peace to find a way to forge an agreement. If the dictatorial parties representing the poor Palestinians ever get sick of fighting and killing, and truly develop a desire for peace, then perhaps we could have two peace-seeking entities that would work out a livable arrangement. Unfortunately, only one side in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict has shown a desire for lasting peace. Israel has demonstrated its desire for peace as exhibited in the Oslo Peace Process. However, the parties representing the Palestinians do not want peace-with-Israel. They desire to see Israel destroyed! Therefore Israel finds itself being a lone sheep in a wolf's neighborhood. The problem in this region is hate! The hatred is fueled by Satan, and his lust for Jewish blood! Ultimately, that hatred will bring the whole world to the precipice of Armageddon. I think the late Golda Meir, former Prime Minister of Israel put it best: “The only way for peace to exist between Israel and our enemies is when the Palestinians come to love their own sons and daughters more than they hate us”. ( Israeli's )

Question # 82 Regarding the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, what right did the British Government have in giving away anything to anyone, such as when they gave Palestinian land to Israel? Won't the Messiah give them the land they are entitled to anyway without Great Britain?

Answer……. Great Britain was empowered to grant favors, or subdivide the land in the Middle East region by virtue of being on the wining side in World War I and World War II. The League of Nations mandated that Great Britain enact the partitioning of Palestine in 1920, and the United Nations enforced it again in 1947, when Britain succumbed to the pressures of overseeing the Partition Plan. France also acquired lands in the Middle East in this period. Israel was a valuable ally of Great Britain in WWI and WWII. It is only logical for the losers in a war lose to lose their rights, or claims, or divide up the spoils of war, especially when they have initiated the war. I would also mention that it is impractical to reward the allies of an enemy after a war is over. Another important point in this matter is that the land that Israel was allotted by Great Britain had never been the state of any other people except the Jewish people. Palestine had been the territory of other imperial powers throughout the Jewish Diaspora. Great Britain actually acquired Palestine from the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire was an ally of Germany during the wars, as was all of Arabia. Yes, the Messiah will establish the prophesied Jewish Kingdom, in lieu of, or despite the actions of any other nation.

Question # 83 Doesn't America and Europe bear some responsibility for the deaths of six million Jews in World War II since they refused to allow the immigration of Jews prior to the war?

Answer……. Absolutely, no question about it! The “British White Paper” establishing quotas on Jewish immigration to Palestine resulted in the “caging-in” of many Jews to be subjected to Hitler's Final Solution! America also bears some of that burden for allowing the Holocaust to go unpublicized, and not doing all it could to prevent it from happening. Britain and America will each be judged by God almighty for their roles regarding the Jews and the Promised Land.

Question # 84 Yasser Arafat's Al Aqsa Brigades and most of the Palestinian Suicide bombers and many of the Palestinian resistance movements refer to themselves as "freedom fighters". They claim that even though they commit unspeakable acts against innocent civilians that they are not terrorists. Isn't there some legitimacy to their claim since they are fighting for land that Israel is illegally occupying?

Answer…… Freedom fighters fight for freedom! The Palestinians are not fighting for freedom, and neither do any of the Arab nations defend freedom. Freedom does not exist any place in the entire Arab world. Every Arab country is a Muslim Theocratic Republic, a dictatorship, or Monarchy. The Palestinians living in Israel enjoy more civil freedoms than any resident within any Arab land. It is an outright absurdity to claim to be acting in defense of civil rights when the very ideology of Arab-Islamic states is to obliterate freedom and liberty. The Western concept of freedom is foreign to the Arab world. The Palestinian terrorists do not plan to establish a freedom friendly state. The terrorists act in accordance with the Fundamentalist Islamic ideal of Totalitarianism. They are seeking to undermine individual liberty and freedom, in the sense that the West, and Israel practices freedom. Freedom loving peoples cannot comprehend suicide bombings against innocent people. The Palestinian terrorists and propaganda war machine indicates that there are fighting for the liberation of "occupied land", and are therefore "freedom fighters". That argument might make a little sense if the so-called "freedom fighters" hadn't launched the wars that resulted in their loss of the so-called "occupied territory". The two sides in this conflict over land are not morally equivalent. One side loves freedom while the other side hates freedom! One side personifies liberty, justice, democracy, truth and freedom for all…while the other side personifies intolerance, injustice, dictatorship, and deception, and the power of the sword!

Question # 85 I heard Palestinian spokeswoman Dr. Hanan Ashrawi argue that Jesus Christ was a Palestinian. She made the point that Palestinians provided the background for Jesus life. If this is true, it seems to me that Palestinian rights should be defended by Christians.

Answer…….. I also have heard the claims that Jesus was a Palestinian. This is simple diplomatic propaganda from the Palestinian representatives aimed at courting Christian support against Israel. The intent is to enforce a mythological claim to the land. Jesus Christ was not a Palestinian. He was of course born in Bethlehem. Bethlehem was in Judea! Jesus was a Jew! It amazes me that anybody could claim that Jesus was anything else. The Bible conveys the genealogical record of Jesus ancestry from the Jewish King, "David". It is recorded in Matthew chapter one. But, let me say this: "Isn't it amazing that the enemies of Israel make this ridiculous claim, when Jesus was crucified for the crime of proclaiming to be the, "King of the Jews"?

Question # 86 Yasser Arafat is really a man of peace! I believe that you misinterpret his roots in this conflict and the fact that he is merely fighting to deliver his people from an illegal occupation by Israel.

Answer……. Yasser Arafat founded the Palestinian Liberation Organization in 1964. That was a full 3 years before Israel came into possession of the so-called “occupied territory”. What was Arafat trying to liberate in 1964? In one of Arafat's most famous speeches given at the UN on November 13, 1974, Arafat stated: "I come bearing an olive branch and a freedom-fighter's gun. Do not let the olive branch fall from my hand”. That was a threat! He was a known terrorist at the time, and he remains a fomenter of terrorism today. You will notice in his remark that Arafat declared something quite different from what a normal leader would say. His statement, "I come bearing an olive branch and a freedom-fighter's gun”, was a threat to the whole world to placate him in his quest against Israel. In other words, for Arafat, the gun is a permanent item that he will utilize against Israel and anyone that supports Israel, while the olive branch is a temporary tool which he uses simultaneously to gain leverage in his quest to destroy Israel. His philosophy has not changed. By rejecting a compromise agreement at Camp David two years ago, he merely dropped the Olive branch and brandished his gun! He does not seek peace, but victory through terrorism. Yasser Arafat invented modern suicide terrorism. He isn't interested in merely ending an occupation, he is interested in blackmailing the whole world to accommodate his hatred of the existence of Israel. And the world is quite willing to spank Israel anytime Arafat wants something! Arafat is not a man of peace. He isn't merely seeking the end of the Israeli occupation in the West Bank. In fact there would be no so-called “occupation” if the Arab world genuinely respected Israel's right to exist. But, God will resolve this dilemma in his own good time!

Question # 87 I have often heard the phrase that “one mans terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.” Why can't the suicide bombers be classified as a freedom fighter in the sense that they do what they do because of their religious-nationalist conviction?

Answer……. Terrorism is evil personified in an absolute disdain for human civilization. Terrorism has no moral purpose! There is no such thing as a good terrorist or bad terrorist! Religion that encourages terror is a product of Satanic designs. Terror is the ultimate in human depravity!. The only freedom a terrorist espouses is the freedom to kill. Terror is the last resort of a demonic-depraved ideology that cannot compete and win in the free debate between civilized, intelligent peoples, or even on the open battlefield. Terror is a tool of animals attempting to intimidate its prey so that it can satisfy its own lust. Terrorists lust for blood, and the more blood the better! They will brazenly display blood on their hands! A freedom fighter fights for freedom from intimidation, threats, and submission, with a respect for all life, and human dignity. He despises killing and wishes to conclude the fighting as soon as possible. He takes no pride in killing. He does not maliciously and intentionally murder innocent people, and then go around “bragging” about it, claiming political responsibility! Unfortunately, mans cruelty to his fellow man is directly connected to his fallen condition from God. Satan, the master deceiver is the innovator of death and destruction, and the more “terrorizing” he can make the despicable art of warfare and the more heinous the act, the more evident that his hand is in the “blood-letting”, and within the perpetrators of it! The bloody dismemberment of innocent unsuspecting bystanders is not an act of heroism or honor. It is an act of pure unadulterated hate!

Question # 88 Are there any credible prophecy books relative to the current Israeli- Palestinian Conflict? There is so much confusion over this issue and I would like to read a timely Biblical account concerning the present controversy in Israel.

Answer……. There are actually a lot of very commendable prophecy books relative to Bible Prophecy and the current situation. Let me suggest a wonderful book by Dr. Randall Price of “World of the Bible Ministries” named “Unholy War”. It costs about 11.00 dollars and can be ordered through his web-site listed on the links page of Focus on Jerusalem. Dr. Price has several fantastic books on Israel and the Middle East. “The Coming Last Days Temple” and “Jerusalem in Prophecy” are two other books that I highly recommend.

Question # 89 Does the Jewish Temple have to be rebuilt on the exact same spot that it has previously existed? Doesn't Palestine currently have a temple built on this spot? Won't Israel have to retake this location in order to rebuild a temple?

Answer……. The fact that a Third Temple is to be built can be shown from the Tanach. There are also several passages in the New Testament which also refer to such a temple being built on the Temple Mount. Israel reacquired the Temple Mount in 1967, but consented to permit the Islamic Waqf to retain control of the mount. Dr. Asher Kaufman for many years made careful studies on Mount Moriah leading him to believe that the original location of the Temples of Solomon and Zerubbabel were both located just north of the Dome of the Rock on the paved platform area. The Holy of Holies is believed to have been approximately on the bedrock covered by a small shrine, the Dome of the Spirits. Dan Bahat, the Dean of Jerusalem archaeologists today, has argued persuasively that the First and Second Temples were certainly located where the present Dome of the Rock shrine now stands. And a third view is that of Architect Tuvia Sagiv who presents striking evidence that the Temple location was South of the Dome of the Rock, under the present Muslim El Kas fountain. Jewish law mandates that the Third Temple be placed on the same spot of ground as the First and Second Temples because of the Jewish concept of zones of holiness on Yahweh's sacred mountain. Matthew 24:15-21, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Amos 9:11, Acts 15:16, Haggai 2:3 and Ezekiel 43 and 44 all allude to the fact that there will be future temples on Mount Moriah. However, the existence of a coming Third Temple in Jerusalem at the close of the present age is confirmed by the apostle John in the Book of the Revelation chapter 11. It is a review of a temple which will be utilized of the Antichrist in his despicable action described in II Thessalonians 2 and referred to by Daniel as the “Abomination of Desolation”. Yes, Israel will be accorded the opportunity to have a third presence on the Mount, but it will be an accommodation of the Antichrist and therefore may not be the actual site of the previous Temples. Presently the Dome of the Rock and the religion of Islam constitute a major stumbling block to any third temple. Some arrangement will have to come into fruition for Israel to have access to the mount. Will it be a military takeover? Not by Israel! Jews have pledged never to abandon the dream of a third temple, and will undoubtedly require a presence on the temple mount in the event of a solution to the burdensome dilemma of Jerusalem. I think it will be connected to a “covenant of peace-with-security-with many” that the Antichrist will be in position to offer to Israel regarding the Arab-Israeli Conflict.

Question # 90 You mentioned in Question # 83 that America and Britain will have to answer to God for their roles regarding the Jews (i.e., in America's case, not giving more effort to bring an end to the Holocaust). Since a "country" answering for it's actions seems like an abstract idea to me, I was wondering if you could explain that. How does a "country" answer for it's actions? Is this a role of a leader, or does a certain portion of the citizenry share in the responsibility?

Answer……. No nation can rise or fall without it being God's providence. Even the Promised Land was possessed by a nation known as the Amorite Kingdom before God promised it to the seed of Israel. Acts 13:19 and Genesis 15:16 conveys the idea that God allotted a “span of time” for the Amorites to repent, and after their iniquity had come to the full, God permitted Israel to cross into the Promised Land. The same situation exists for all nations. In another example, Belshazzar of Babylon saw his kingdom fall when God judged it on the night of the infamous “handwriting on the wall”. God, being outside of “time” is able to analyze all of what we humans know as “history” ( past, present and future ) and forewarn people and leaders about personal and national behavior. Daniel 5:28 reveals that God judged Babylon and gave their kingdom to the Medes and Persians.

And indeed it was God who mandated the division of land amongst nations. (Genesis 10) Deuteronomy 32:8 When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; Deuteronomy 4:40 and 5:16 carried the advisement, “that it may go well with thee” and “prolong thy days” for obedience to God's commands for the nation of Israel. God's law is not broken, but rather nations and people break themselves when they go against his law, and bring judgment upon themselves.

God has judged many nations in the past. It is not an unrealistic or surreal phenomenon. Isaiah 60:12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

A prime example is the judgment against the Pharaohs of Egypt during the era of Jewish bondage. God still judges the nations today. God has forecast his judgment upon all the nations in the “Last Days”. Many Old Testament prophecies depict that God will gather all the nations into the “Valley of Decision”, and judge them according to their complicity in the Satanic onslaught against Israel. ( Joel 3:14 )

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. God's laws were instituted among mankind to be an exhibition to all nations that “perpetuity and blessing” upon any society is absolutely dependent upon keeping and observing God's natural law.

Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Micah 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; Psalms 75:7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Leaders of nations are judged in their present capacities and will be held still further accountable in the great Judgment. (Luke 12:48 For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:) Matthew 25:31-32 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
