Temple Dome Journey Through Bible Prophecy

Question # 338….(01-04-2014)

Dear Sir, Jesus wrote not one word. The first proven mention of him is more than two hundred years after his death. Why would a god send his son to an isolated place in the world where his words would be lost forever. The proven disciples writing are all well into the fourth century AD. He never existed and if he did he was an evil entity.

Answer…… The fact of Jesus Christ’s existence in history requires no defense from me. It is a fact, as many historians have verified it. The historical record from the gospels also needs no defense, for every single description of the life, deeds and times of Jesus have been authenticated by the historians from every culture of the period.

You remark that Jesus left no written record of his own. That is true. But the fact still remains that numerous other individuals from his own generation left us a venerable library of documents of his life, and his ministry. They did not record their writings 200 years after the fact, but while yet alive. They were eye-witnesses to the whole truth of Jesus Christ! The Disciples traveled with him, ate with him, watched him, and later in life reflected back upon him and his life, and recorded many of his deeds. Alas, they were not the only ones who witnessed his works. (John 11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.)

Paul, once a most ardent skeptic and persecutor of Jesus, at long last met Jesus, albeit after his resurrection. From that point on, Paul became an avid follower and writer of Jesus life and ministry. Such changes in a person’s heart and character do not come about without extreme compellation. Today, Paul shines on as a bulwark against skepticism against the historical Jesus Christ.

You ask, why would any god send his only son to such an isolated place as the earth, and why he might allow his provability to be overshadowed and questioned. I would suggest to you that a loving God would do anything required to recover a lost people. But in that great endeavor, he being holy and righteous, would not reveal himself as a braggart, nor as a pushy tyrant. Rather, He would submit himself humbly to his reviewers, and seek genuine love in exchange for their defense. This is exactly why Jesus came as a “Lamb”! No, He didn’t come writing about himself, as a politician might do, but relied upon the eye-witness testimony of individuals that passed before him. For the record, we have: (Acts 3:13-15 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.)  (Acts 10:34-41 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.)

And if that record should not be sufficient enough for a person to seriously consider, then let them consider that all the things recorded by witnesses of him, (life, ministry, miracles, death, resurrection) was predicted to be done by him hundreds of years before he was born! (Luke 24:46-48 And said unto them, Thus it is written, (a prophetic record centuries earlier) and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.)

No, Jesus left us no personal written exposes or thesis. All he ever did was exactly what the Heavenly Father required him to do. And that was simply to demonstrate God’s Love for all humanity be submitting himself to becoming a sacrifice for our sins, and extending his love to all mankind. If that isn’t love, then what is? It is a fact recorded by John, another witness of Christ’s life, historians and writers could not convey the volumes of wonders that Jesus performed. (John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.)

If Jesus Christ were an evil entity, (as you suggest) that is your privilege to ascertain. But I would think if Jesus were Evil, he would leave you no freedom to choose Love!

Question # 337….(12-11-2014)

I have enjoyed your website and find your answers in the (Questions & Answers) page very informative. I am a Christian, but am still a babe in Christ and I need your help with the answer to a question that was presented to me a few days ago. I was trying to talk to this person about God's love and faithfulness and he became very upset and ask me (with much anger in his voice) "Where was GOD during the Holocaust when innocent men, women, and children were tortured and killed?" There were other questions along the same line, such as, "What gives God the right to allow what happened to Job? Even though God gave him another family, that didn't take away the pain he endured when he lost the children he loved and raised." I am very worried about this person. Please help me with answers.

Answer…… Questions pertaining to horrible tragedies in this world often cause people to ridicule or question God. The mere fact that genocide occurs anywhere (against anyone) in the world is not a reason to question God’s existence, nor his graciousness. The preponderance of Evil, in reality reflects the fact that we live in a sin-infested, cruel and evil world and that Satan is the predominating power in this present world system. (that is why Revelation & Daniel depicts the empires in this world as predatory beasts) Presently, the Devil is the master of our world, and he is like a roaring lion, stalking the planet seeking the destruction of the whole human race. (Jews and Christians in particular) The mere fact that he has never accomplished that end is evidence that God is working in the affairs of mankind to restrain his warfare.

Relative to the Holocaust, God forewarned the people of Israel about the consequences of abandoning him (Jehovah) and whoring after other gods. In 20 verses from Deuteronomy alone God warned Israel that things would always go well for them as long as they maintained a reverence for his law, his Sabbaths, and his sacrifice. In Deuteronomy 28, God spells out the numerous blessing he wished to bestow upon Israel, and also revealed the calamity (devil’s conspiracy of evil) that would befall them if they didn’t heed his words. In truth, Israel got 2 chances in history to honor God, but fell into idolatry and blindness each time, leaving themselves exposed to the wiles of Satan.

People don’t seem to realize that our only hope for any prospect of peace, sanity, and tranquility in this world is through the might of a Holy God. When God removes himself (leaves us to our own devices and choices) and his hedge-of-protection from us, we (individuals, nations, families, etc.) become easy prey for the powers of darkness.

I often get asked this question about the Holocaust. I usually respond by exposing the unseen agenda of Satan and his dominions. Please remember this fact, the kingdoms of this present world belong to Satan. Satan even offered the glory of the earth to Christ when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. (Matt 4:8-9 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.) Satan’s conspiracy in the days of WWII was a supernatural scheme to eradicate every single Jew from the face of the earth, and then to extinguish the flame of Christianity in the West. Still today, many anti-Semitic powers lament the fact that Hitler failed to complete the Holocaust.

The real miracle of the Holocaust is that God interrupted it, and made it possible for Jews to return to their Promised Land. That is the real miracle of the 1940’s. So, when people mockingly ask, “where was God in the 1940’s,” I respond that if it had not been for God’s intervention, the beastly nations and mankind back then would have killed millions more, and Israel would not exist today, or indeed ever again in history.

At the heart of the matter, and on the personal level, your questions pertain to the wonderment of why God allows evil in this world, and why he allows it to happen to innocent people. These questions have pervaded human thought for centuries. Let me simply say; the fault for existence and practice of evil in our world lies with man. I repeat, the problem lies within the HEART of man. It is evil, and all men, everywhere are consumed by evil thoughts, evil schemes, evil eyes, and evil conspiracies. We have that nature because we are like the Devil. And we remain evil until we submit ourselves to have our hearts changed by the Love of God!

(Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.)

Question # 336….(01-17-2012) News  reports today is that Russia has given Iran its bear hug and warns Israel and the West that an attack on Tehran would be considered an attack on Moscow. The threat heightens the prospect of World War III in the event of a military strike on Iran. “Iran is our neighbor,” Russia's outgoing ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, told reporters in Brussels. “And if Iran is involved in any military action, it’s a direct threat to our security.” Is this the beginning of Gog and Magog?

Answer…… It certainly does reveal the fact that the players involved in the Tribulation era are already lining up in their respective places. Russia, throughout the ongoing Iranian crisis has been playing precisely the prophesied role that it would play in the Last Days. Ezekiel 38 portrays Russia (Magog) as being a “guard” unto her ally clients in the Middle East quagmire. (Ezekiel 38:7Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a “guard” unto them.) A guard in this scenario is describing a defender and protecting overseer. This is exactly the geo-political strategy Russia is utilizing with Iran, and that strategy involves countering the US-Western strategy of manipulating the Arab-Palestinian issue for political and economic power. The Ezekiel 38 scenario that has already begun playing out in the nuclear crisis with Iran, begs the important answer to the questions of the prophetic role that will soon be played by Syria, and the Arab League that is described in the Psalms 83 diplomatic war on Israel, and the Burden of Damascus event revealed in Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49. No matter how one interprets these ancient prophecies, the mere fact that Russia is showing its hand reveals that the Tribulation era is near.

One has to analyze the "time for the Magog" invasion. Some scholars place it in a pre-trib scenario. That is certainly possible. But, I personally believe the Magog invasion is a Tribulation era war, along with the Chinese invasion from the East against the powers of the Antichrist. Ezekiel 38 shows that Magog has certain allies, among them being Libya, Ethiopia, Gomer, Togarmah, and of course Persia, which is Iran. This listing suspiciously does not mention Russia's other longstanding Mideast client proxy, although lately via Iran, and that is Syria. That begs the question, why isn’t it listed here in this assault?  I believe it is because there is another major war, involving the existing terror machines that operate out of Syria, before the Magog coalition war theatre. That interim war will involve the Antichrist, or more likely the rising Ten Kings of the global government, usurpation of Syria from the Iran Axis. Of course, Iran, with a nodding approval of Russia and China uses asymmetrical style warfare against Israel and the West via the multi-networked morass of terror machines out of Damascus. Damascus is merely a pawn in the hands of Iran, and soon the Western/Arab League will seek to eliminate the terror elements located there via the scheme of the Democracy utopia being pushed currently by the US-EU.

I would also highlight the fact that Russia (and China) has aided and abetted the Iranian nuclear program for one reason, and that is to bring pressure to bear in the Global Government discussions over disarmament and non-proliferation, when it is widely believed that Israel is a rogue non-member state that possesses nuclear weapons. Whereas Russia was unable to supply and facilitate their former Soviet clients in the Arab world sufficiently enough for them to defeat Israel in a conventional war scenario, they now are playing the nuclear nutshell game with the US over a solution to the Israeli nuke problem. The eventual Antichrist will have to overcome this dilemna, but that a dynamic resolution to the war-on-terror. Remember, the Antichrist will eventually guarantee peace and safety to all the parties of the Middle East, through the Global government empowerment.

Question # 335…….(12-21-2011) I really enjoy studying and reading your web-site. I know we are living in such exciting times since it seems the Lords return is very near!  I dug further into some of your Q & Answers and your Articles and think I've found your thoughts on the purpose of the 1000 year test for survivors of the last great war.  It sounds very right to me but if God knows everyone’s final decision and I think he does, then it just doesn't seem reasonable that he would use another 1000 years when he already knows those that are to be His and those that will side with the evil one.  It seems to me that he would just allow those poor, sad individuals to be taken during the last three one half years when he defeats the imposter.  I know God is extending His love to all even then, but He is all knowing and all powerful so I must be missing something.

Answer…….First of all, I should point out that the survivors of the Tribulation era, coupled together with the Jewish remnant that is supernaturally protected, will repopulate the earth during the Millennium. While the Millennium will be a grand era, without war, and with the curse of sin reduced since our Lord will reign in Jerusalem, it will also witness a population explosion. These "new peoples" will have the blessed circumstance of living longer, and in a near Edenic type state, like unto to the generations of Adam. The desert places will blossom with roses and run with water, the climate in that era will return to a pre-deluvial type, to name a few changes mentioned in Isaiah.

But, in the final analysis, any newborn peoples during the Millennium must be confronted with the same choice regarding God that people in every age have had. Namely, that is whether they would choose Jesus as their Lord and Savior. During the Millennium, Satan will be bound for the duration of the 1000 years, so these people will not have been subjected to the same temptations, and turmoil as previous generations. But too, they will live longer, and be tempted of the Devil at the appointed time, and make the "free-will" choice of whom to accept as their Lord.

The nature of the Millennial Kingdom, being near Edenic, reflects the fact that even in a nice environment, men naturally tend toward evil giving the freedom to choose. Of course the Bible describes the human condition perfectly when it says, "the human heart is desperately wicked from his youth onward." The philosophers of Humanism and social psychologists would like to tell us that evil stems from a bad environment, and or injustice in the social order. But the truth of the matter is that mankind is born in sin, and until sin is destroyed, and salvation is offered freely to all, there can be no end to the present order or status of humanity. We read in I Corinthians 15; For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Death cannot be destroyed until Satan, and all his rebels are cast into the lake of fire, and the new heaven and the new earth are established. Upon that occasion, after the 1000 years of Christ's reign on earth, He will give is earthly and spiritual kingdoms over to his Father. Then begins the eternal realm, wherein no sin can enter.

Although God knows everything, even things about the future decisions people will make, he still allows us to make them. God is patient, longsuffering, and above all a JUST and righteous judge. He could indeed end everything now. But being the perfect and righteous judge that he is, he permits everyone a hearing and Time. (Psalms 19:9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

Added to the fact that God is longsuffering, and doesn't just end things, He desires for MANY (even many not yet born) to be born, and to find salvation so that they can be enjoined into the family of God. If God just halted everything, as it is right now, many, many people would not be saved. (II Pet 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;)    Had God stopped time just 100 years ago, YOU and I would never have been born, we would never have lived, and we would never have known God's love, we would never have been afforded a glorious future reigning WITH HIM.

We, as members of the human race must never miss the ramifications of the fact that we are a sin-infected creation. God is beyond our comprehension, even in his judgments. Significantly relative to your question is the fact that "only beings created within the domain of time-progression" have been “allotted time" for repentance and salvation. The created angelic realm were created before God created the world, and man. Ezekiel 28 provides a small glimpse into the fact that the Devil (and the host of the heavens) was on the scene for creation week in Genesis One. The great rebellion of Lucifer is an event that was committed by him outside the domain of time-progression, and he further recruited 1/3 of the Host of Heaven to join him in that war against Heaven. (Rev. 12)  The point is that the fallen angels have not been allotted time, for repentance as have human beings.

The fallen angels have already been judged, for they fell in the realm of the eternal state.  Whereas for humans in history, haven “fallenin the dimension of time, God is longsuffering, (not willing that any should perish) permitting us time to repent. This, then is the action of a Wise and Just Judge, even going so far as establishing his Son, Jesus Christ as our personal advocate, if we merely accept him.

Question # 334…..(11-20-2011) Thank you for your great ministry. I have an important question that was not answered on your Q and A page. You state that Jesus said when He wept over Jerusalem that not one stone would be left upon another. Yet the wailing wall where the Jews pray has many stones not only from the Herodian period but also from pre-Herodian that are on top of each other, even that remain even to this day. How is it that according to Jesus own words "not one stone would be left upon another" do not seem to be true? thank you, a truth seeker

Answer……Thank you for your kind comments and your question on the Temple Mount. As you know, during the last days of his life, Jesus had assembled his disciples together on the Mt. of Olives overlooking the Temple. The disciples were uncertain and anxious about the future especially in light of Jesus' cleansing of the Temple and stopping the sacrifices, and his astonishing statements delivered in holy anger denouncing the Pharisees. The disciples opened the conversation by talking about the beauty of the temple and its courts. Jesus opened his amazing and detailed reply by predicting the soon-coming destruction of that magnificent building:

As Jesus left the temple and went across the valley to the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. They asked him 3 specific questions, each having relevance to different time periods. But he answered them, “And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” (Matthew 24:2)

Both the Jewish Temple and the City of Jerusalem were indeed about to be destroyed. With four Legions, the Roman General Titus, later to become Roman Caesar, began the siege of Jerusalem in April, AD70. He posted his 10th legion on the Mount of Olives, directly east of and overlooking the Temple Mount. The 12th and 15th legions were stationed on Mount Scopus, further to the east and commanding all ways to Jerusalem from east to north.

The present walls around the Old City of Jerusalem were built from 1537 to 1541 by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, after the Ottoman conquest of Israel. At that time most of the ancient walls were reduced to rubble. Suleiman ordered that Jerusalem be fortified to protect its people against marauding Bedouins. Suleiman's walls were rebuilt upon the foundations of the walls constructed during the time of the Second Temple and the later Roman expansion. For the most part, the modern gates of the city are not closely related to the walls and gates that existed in Roman times or earlier. There is some debate about the correct location of some of the ancient gates and walls. However visitors to the recently restored Jewish Quarter in the Old City can see an uncovered section of the wall built by Nehemiah at the time of the return from the Babylonian exile, the western wall.

The Western Wall is a one quarter mile long retaining wall that today forms the western boundary of the Temple Mount. A 185 foot section that is exposed is an open air prayer area, Ha Kotel, known in earlier times as the Wailing Wall. The Western Wall was not part of either Temple. Rather it was one of the four retaining walls that surrounded the Temple Mount supporting the platform on which the Temple formerly stood. It was built by Herod the Great in order to enlarge the Temple Mount so that he could enlarge the worship area, beautify it and add more buildings to the Temple complex. When the Romans destroyed the Temple in AD70 they left standing most of the retaining walls to commemorate the magnitude of their victory. It is the only remaining portion of the Second Temple today.

Mount Moriah, on which the Temple actually stood, is more or less level from the present Dome of the Rock northwards, but to the south the elevation drops very rapidly. The entire southern end of the Temple Mount compound was built up by Herod the Great. The south-eastern corner, for instance, has a retaining wall almost 150 feet high with at least 100 feet of rubble fill on the inside.

The Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, was present in Jerusalem when the city was captured and destroyed by the Romans. He described the event in this manner: "The Romans, though it was a terrible struggle to collect the timber, raised their platforms in twenty-one days, having as described before stripped the whole area in a circle round the town to a distance of ten miles. The countryside like the City was a pitiful sight; for where once there had been a lovely vista of woods and parks there was nothing but desert and stumps of trees. No one, not even a foreigner who had seen the Old Judea and the glorious suburbs of the City, and now set eyes on her present desolation, could have helped sighing and groaning at so terrible a change; for every trace of beauty had been blotted out by war, and nobody who had known it in the past and came upon it suddenly would have recognized the place: when he was already there he would still have been looking for the City."

And Josephus lists the horrendous outcome: "As the flames shot into the air the Jews sent up a cry that matched the calamity and dashed to the rescue, with no thought now of saving their lives or husbanding their strength; for the city and temple which hitherto they had guarded so devotedly was disappearing before their eyes.

Thus, Jerusalem was totally destroyed and as Jesus had predicted, and not one stone was left upon another. When the Temple was set on fire the Roman soldiers tore apart the stones to get the melted gold. The Menorah and vessels were carried to Rome and the treasury was robbed. Thus the Roman armies under Titus came in and fulfilled the prediction to the very letter.  It was one of the most ghastly sieges in all of history. When the Romans came the city was divided among three warring factions of Jews who were so entrenched at each other’s throats that they paid no heed to the approach of the Romans. Thus Titus came up and surrounded the city while it was distracted by its own internecine warfare. The Romans assaulted the walls again and again, and gave every opportunity to the Jews to surrender and save their capital from destruction.

During the long siege a terrible famine raged in the city and the bodies of the inhabitants were literally stacked like cordwood in the streets. Mothers even resorted to eating their own children to preserve their own strength. (again a warning mentioned by Jesus in Matthew 24:19) The toll of Jewish suffering was horrible but they would not surrender the city. Again and again they attempted to trick the Romans through guile and perfidy. When at last the walls were breached Titus tried to preserve the Temple by giving orders to his soldiers not to destroy or burn it. But the anger of the soldiers against the Jews was so intense that, maddened by the resistance they encountered, they disobeyed the order of their general and set fire to the Temple. There were great quantities of gold and silver which had been placed in the Temple for safekeeping. These precious metals melted and ran down between the rocks and into the cracks of the stones. When the soldiers captured the Temple area, in their greed to obtain this gold and silver they took long bars and pried apart the massive stones. Thus, quite literally, not one stone was left standing upon another. The Temple itself was totally destroyed, though the wall supporting the area upon which the Temple was built was left partially intact and a portion of it remains to this day, the portion called the Western Wall.

In any event, Jerusalem is still slated for its ultimate fateful judgment day, when the Antichrist encircles the city for his final assault against the returning King of the Jews, Jesus Christ. Old Jerusalem will again be a bloody battleground, and a giant earthquake will devastate the city. (Zechariah 14:4, Revelation 11:13 and 16:18) But alas, Jesus will rebuild the city, and a new Temple!

Question # 333….(11-30-2011) It's a pleasure having the opportunity to read your articles. I greatly enjoy them. I tend to spend hours on end going through them. Looking at current developments in Europe I've been left to wonder if the current make up of the European Union isn't already matching the prophecy of Daniel. As we speak the EU is made up of 27 countries, 17 of which are part of the European Monetary Union. That leaves 10 countries that could easily be represented by the 10 toes and horns in the visions and prophecies in Daniel's book. I can easily imagine the rapture occurring in the next few days, followed by the antichrist emerging out of any of the two parts of the EU, and receiving power from these 10 states that buy into his agenda. What are your thoughts on this? It would be great to hear from you. (PS: Keep up the good work. Some of us find it highly encouraging. May the Lord bless you and keep you always) Thanks and best regards.

Answer……Thank you so much for writing, and for your kind comments on FOJ.  I hope that you continue to enjoy the FOJ material. Your are most astute in your observations about the EU.  I too speculate that the 10 WEU kings of the EU may turn out to be the ten kings that eventually give rise to the Antichrist. As you probably know, Daniel’s image of the ten toes came upon the 2 legs that held up the great image. (Daniel 2:32-33 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.) These are likely the eastern and western spheres of the greater EU, coupled with their buildup of the EuroMed that will engulf parts of the Middle East and Northern Africa. I further believe that we are currently witnessing the logistical emergence of that empire today in the crisis that has entangled Libya, Egypt and Syria. * (keep watch on the Damascus dynamic, for its has dire implications) I also believe that the Syrian track (complicated by Iran’s involvement) in the geo-political events in the expansion of the Euro Zone will soon reveal much about these prophecies.

The 4th beast of Daniel’s prophecies is further described in chapter seven. (Daniel 2:41-43 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.)

There are basically 3 theories on the geographic rise of the 10 kings and the AC.  Theory one points to a Western (Rome) based geo-political scenario. Theory 2 speculates about the AC rising in the midst of the Syrian situation, and that the AC is Assyrian. Theory 3 postulates that the 10 kings are a grouping of World wide regional powers that give their authority to the AC, with 3 of these kings being subdued by one from their number. There is a good deal of Biblical support for either one of these 3 theories. But as yet at least, I cannot be dogmatic on which one is factual. I tend to favor the first theory, but events will soon tell. But one thing for sure can be ascertained from Daniel’s details on the 4th beast. The ten kings will become divided about the role of the newly formed Global government that is further described by John in Revelation chapter 17.

In any event, the Antichrist will rise to power over the whole earth, after effecting a "covenant of peace for the promised land" between Israel and (many) the entire Arab League, with approving nods from most of the original ten kings. However, I think that this "peace pact" will inflame tensions in the North and the Far East (Russia and China) and lead to the final stages of the conflict known as Armageddon. (Revelation 17:12-13 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.)

   * * Also, I would further point out that the current economic malaise that is engulfing all nations is very instrumental in the formation of the Last Days rise of the ten kings, and the Antichrist. We know that the Antichrist will have full authority over commerce and religion during his short reign.

Question # 332….(08-24-2011) Myself and my husband have read your article on the rapture, and was delighted with the wonderful work you have done on this subject. Please may we ask one question? When the church has been raptured up, will the unbelievers and the believers who were asleep have a chance to repent and be saved. We look forward to hearing from you

Answer…..Yes, absolutely people will still be able to get saved after the Rapture. In fact, the Tribulation era may in fact see more people getting saved than in the current era. The Rapture event merely removes the bride of Christ from the earth prior to the Tribulation. The Church, while being embedded with the “holy spirit” (hagios neuma) is itself not a part of the actual mystery of the Godhead. (triune God, the Father, Son, and Spirit) The Holy Spirit, being an ominipresnt member of God will remain in the world to continue in many of its functions, however its task as the “great restrainer” will be ended. The great restrainer is that which is referred to in II Thessalonians as that which “witholdeth until he is taken out of the way,” allowing the Man of Sin to emerge. This cessation of restraint will allow Satan’s axis of evil forces to vent themselves during the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. (seven year tribulation) But, thankfully, the holy spirit will still be acting as a convictor of sin, comforter, guide, and spirit for salvation. The following verse from Revelation alludes to the many people who get saved during the great tribulation. (Revelation 7:13-14 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.) Also the following verse, mentioned in the seal judgements of Revelation refers to the fact that many people will suffer for their new found faith in Christ during the Tribulation. (Revelation 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.)

Question # 331….(12-28-2010) Please explain the verse: "Narrow is the way, and there is few that find it."

Answer……The verse that you are referring to is found in Matthew chapter seven. It is a quotation from Jesus “sermon on the mount.” (Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.)

The English word “strait” utilized here in the quote comes from the Greek word “stenos,” which refers to a narrow but secured way. The implication is that the entryway is narrow because of obstacles that loom nearby and tend to serve as imposing blockages to the light thereof. This pathway is the only way that leads to eternal life, but following it requires spiritual dedication, something that doesn’t appeal to natural man.

On the contrary there is a way which mankind loves to travel because it appeals to his carnal nature. Jesus describes this pathway as being very broad. The Greek word for broad is “euruchorous” which means wide and spacious. Jesus further indicates that most people choose this way of life because of its sensual, carnal appeal. The Apostle Paul elaborated further on Jesus teaching. (Romans 8:4-8 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.)

Since Satan has become the god of this present world, he continually makes the carnal way of life appealing to mankind. He offers the motto that is popular in one commercial, “you only go round once in life, grab all the gusto you can.” Indeed the devil has placed many appealing stumbling blocks in the way of the “strait” way! While many people are familiar with John 3:16, not many the convicting words of the ensuing verses. (John 3:19-20 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.) And there is the rub….men love darkness rather than light. Carnal man loves the pleasures of this sin-infected world. Whether its materialism, sexual deviations, drunkeness, pleasure seeking, or whatever, the way of humanism and self love is broad, and many travel that road at full speed.

A good example of why it is hard to follow the strait way is the story of the rich man, who asked Jesus what he should do to inherit eternal life. Looking deep into the man’s heart, Jesus confronted him with the thing that mattered more to him than eternal life and made him choose. (Matthew 19:16-22 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all are possible.

It is asked of mankind in the Gospels, “what would a man give in exchange for his own soul? Sadly for most, they would not give up anything. And most will not accept eternal life even though it is free, because they love the things of this world more!
